Property Description

For a number of people, the fast-paced action and the crowd of Cancun can be very overwhelming. Some people are just not up to that kind of all-night parties usually done there. Puerto Morelos is the answer with a family slow-paced life style; it is a relaxing, laid-back alternative to the bustle of Cancun. It's also the only working fishing village from Cancun as far as Tulum that hasn't been entirely consumed by tourism. Casitas Kinsol is located in the heart of Puerto Morelos, 2 blocs from the main square and in front of the municipal market, on the West side of the main highway Cancun to Tulum (MX307); it is NOT located by the beach, but inland, in town:

- 25 minutes from Cancun international airport. Make it your first stop on the Yucatan peninsula before you head for your Mayan adventures.
- Half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen: the perfect location to visit the Mayan Riviera or to conduct businesses on the Mayan Riviera.
- Four blocks from the bus station, two blocks from the Zocalo (main square). Convenient stores, small restaurants are on the corner of the block.
- 2.5 miles from the white sandy beach of this small fishing town.

Casitas Kinsol - Our commitment
- Outstanding service: we want you back!
- Clean and rustic rooms and bungalows with basic services: no A/C but a fan in each room. And a private bathroom with toilet, shower. All rooms are non-smoking.
- A unique decor: no room is alike; each room has its own touch and personality.
- A luxuriant nature: lime tree, orange tree, mango tree, guayaba tree, papaya tree, mamey tree, soursop, coconuts,... in a jungle cove in the middle of the downtown of La Colonia of Puerto Morelos.
We preserve Casitas Kinsol's jungle cove: no more building on our lot!!!
You'll be able to have your own fresh juice every morning: just walk to the fruit market on the corner of the block (open from 6:00am).

A family and pet friendly atmosphere. We don't have kids (kids are welcome), just three dogs (two 'malich and a mini-pincher) and a cat: they are also 24/7 hosts!!!. We will touch your heart: you come as a client and you leave as a friend.

A seductive and a different experience

You will nurture yourself in nature: it's up to you to enjoy the surrounding city. Flora and fauna are the best: do some bird watching in the jungle, not far away.

Take a nap in a hammock under the mango tree and let us know how this experience can change your view of nature.

Casitas Kinsol is a gem! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. Tucked away in town, it was nice to be immersed with the locals and not amongst other tourists near the beach. The property is awesome -- a beautifully designed place with great aesthetics, greenery and an overall rustic feel. It's a peaceful place to rest, but you can get around town or go to the beach with ease. Alain and Christine were amazing hosts -- super helpful with guidance and recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

Fab place to stay in Puerto Morelos Town. Christine and Alan were very welcoming and very helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to eat in the local area. Our room was quirky, homely and spacious, with a mezzanine level with another bed, a thatched roof and a gorgeous tiled shower. It is in the town away from the beach but that didn't detract from our stay at all as it is easy to cycle to town or cheap to take a taxi or combi van.

This place is wonderful. The owners are really friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfy. It's a bit of a hike to the beach (or a $2 cab ride) and you're on your own for meals, but if that works for you then I unreservedly recommend this place.

Everything was great in Casitas. Steve is a great person and helped me a lot with my itinerary when I was in Puerto Morelos. Also, he provided me with valuable information for my next trip. Casitas is very quiet place to stay, if you are looking for a hostel to spent time yourself and like a quiete place, Casitas is the perfect place to stay.

Cute place, good location. The owners are kind, accommodating, and are more then willing to answer questions and offer advice. My only issue was we were there When it was windy and rainy. We had this cute sunroof above the bed and our 2nd day So many ants literally began falling onto us from the ceiling. The owners were very accommodating and gave us a new room, which looked good until we saw the ants crawling along the walls on the floor, which honestly bothered us less. If u hate ants beware.

A lovely place to stay with excellent hosts! The space is beautiful and unique and the hosts are helpful and kind. It is not located at the town right by the beach but it is a very cheap cab ride down and I think worth it to stay in a place with such a wonderful atmosphere!

I wouldn't consider this a hostel as there aren't dorms, but it's a lovely place to stay. Plenty of restaurants near by, and it's easy to get to the beach by walking, biking or collectivo.

They were so talkative and gave my friend and I many vegan restaurant recommendations! Our room was cute, comfortable, and convenient. We loved hanging out with the cat and dogs (and turtle!) whilst eating fruit from the stand right around the corner. Extremely pleasant stay!
