What a great time we had. The dumpling making class was such a delight. We made many friends here and created memories we will never forget. The atmosphere here was far better than at the Mix hostel where we stayed also for a couple nights. Go with lazybones if you like quiet rooms and well lit fun common space.

Great stay at the poshpacker! They give you a great walking map of the highlights around town. Get the blanket noodles on the corner! Yummm! Lots of tour options if you're into that. But you can def make it on your own. Sometimes nice not to have the hassle of finding your own transportation tho ;) We chose to partake in the hotpot night. Went and picked all the food from the local market. Super cool! Helen, our guide was so nice. Hotpot was delish. Rooms and shower/bathroom were very clean.

Fantastic hostel with a great atmosphere and pleasant rooms - by far the best hostel we stayed in during our trip to China. We stayed in a dorm room which even had its own bathroom, a luxury! The free dumpling making and calligraphy class were really good fun and enabled us to meet other people staying in the hostel, and the staff were really friendly and made an effort to make it enjoyable. Good and affordable selection of drinks and food. Would highly recommend.

Lazy Bones is a solid choice in Chengdu and has been for the last 7 years in my case. This is not the original location, but it has the same hallmark of relaxed atmosphere and a great place to meet people. Many travel/activities packages are available, we especially enjoyed the picking tea experience which goes a bit out of the typical trodden path. The room was big and comfortable, my only grip is with the bathroom which was sub-par the rest. Taking a shower would always create a flood.

I highly recommend to stay here. The staff are especially helpful, they speak great English and gave very helpful advice on where to visit and how to get to and from different places. They also offer a range of interesting tours and have good free social and cultural activities and a social area with a bar. No cooking facilities but you can order meals and drinks there. Rooms are basic but are clean and have everything you need. Would stay again!

One of the best hostel I have stayed so far. I like the overall vibes of this hostel from the interior furnishing, tours, in-house free activities, games. It has a bar with invited singers which is just great. Not the noisy party kind of hostels which is plus point for me. People are also friendly. Drinking water dispenser available. The dorm room was ultra clean, spacious n has private bed lamps and curtains as well as lockers with padlocks n keys provided. Superb!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Feels more like a hotel than hostel. Beautiful clean rooms with soft comfy beds and pillows. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and reasonably priced - however food never came out at the same time for me and my friend. I would receive my food first, nearly finished eating and then my friends food would come :( Also location is very confusing as doesn’t show up on google maps either? However staff provide a map upon arrival which was very useful

The pros: there is a terrace outside, and the hostel restaurant sells some drinks, which are great for backpackers willing to meet new people. Plus, the beds have curtains - great for your own privacy - and the hostel is near some traditional parts of Chengdu // The cons: the subway stations are not that close by foot, and there aren't that much bars & restaurants around the hostel.
