More of a homestay experience but no matter what you call it, this place is special. We stayed in the private bungalow. Your hosts are kind & happy people that enjoy interacting with guests. Dont be put off by the distance out of town. Most things youll want to do are at their doorstep anyway. The temple was the best in Thailand. If you come by bus and other tourists get off too - ask them if they're going to the cave. Split the 150 for a taxi and walk the 5 minutes past it to the hostel.

Such a friendly, relaxed and beautiful place. I visited Chiang Dao in the low season so I was the only guest but it was a perfect break and nice to be away from the tourist trail. The hosts here are warm and fun and will help you with whatever you need. Couldn't recommend it more if you're looking for a chilled out few days

Most amazing, peaceful and relaxed place in a beautiful village just a 7min drive from Chiang Dao. Close to the Caves and the National Park where you can watch butterflies dance with each other or go on a scenic hiking trip! The hosts Santan and Oi are so kind and made us feel so welcome, thank you so much for a wonderful stay :D They be more than happy to help you with planing a sightseeing trip or tell you everything about the area and culture with some fresh made ginger tea. Thank you again!

Wow. What a wonderful experience this trip was. There is a reason this place has such great reviews. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everything was made easier and better by the hosts Oil and Suntan. They will drive you to the market/dinner, take you on hikes, direct your next travels, and treat you like friends. They really care about you, and ensure your enjoyment for your entire stay. Easily the best Hostel experience I've had, and I'll be back! 😁

AMAZING! We loved it here and when you read that it’s “Home” hostel, that’s what it is! The couple who run it are amazing and make you feel like you are at home. They welcome you into their family, we went for lunch with them and they gave us lifts everywhere ! Could not recommend this place enough! Not to mention the fact you have a view of the mountain at breakfast time. Wow.

Amazing stay at this hostel. Owner was fantastic and made the experience so worthwhile. He went out of his way to make us happy and drove us around to hot springs, back to the bus stop, did a walking tour with us (a little pricey but worth it) and bought us snacks too! Hostel facilities were basic, but you had everything you needed. Would stay again!

All the other reviews are spot on, the owners are so so lovely and look after you completely, taking you to dinner, giving you rides to hot pools and helping plan any activities you want to do. I had booked one night but stayed four, definitely recommend

Can’t say enough about this hostel. The owners, Suntan and Oy are so kind and generous. It feels more like a homestay than a hostel, with full access to the kitchen. They took us to the market every day to buy food if we wanted to cook (and showed us how to prepare it). Suntan also guides different activities everyday like trekking, biking, etc. I had a great experience and will definitely be back again!

The hostel itself is pretty basic but if that’s ok for you, the experience you get here is worth it. The owner goes out of his way to show you the sights. He took us to the local hot springs each evening which would be unreachable without a car. We also did one of his jungle treks as he is a local tour guide. Would definitely stay here for an off the beaten, mode local experience!

Great location, walking distance to the places to go in Chiang Dao, much better than staying in the town area. The host is very giving, friendly and will help offer guidance with anything you need. It's a simple place and there isn't too much around, so if you want to get away from it all in a nice home-style environment, this place is it!
