Property Description

Thank you for choosing to use ChillHouse as your basecamp for your time in Buenos Aires. Antoine, Esteban wants to start things off with a big "Bienvenidos".

Just wanted to let you know that we are offering a 10% discount if you pay by cash upon arrival or 5% discount using PayPal. Visa also accepted.

Please keep in mind that the reception desk is not open 24 hours a day, so be sure to let us know what your arrival time will be so we can be sure to be here waiting and ready for you.

ChillHouse opened its doors in 2004, but the house itself came with some pretty awesome history. What guests see now is the product of two years of love and hard work. Antoine and Esteban have put a lot of heart into restoring the house. Built in 1907 with an impressive list of owners, like the famous tango singer Carlos Gardel’s good friend Roberto Rufino, aka 'the kid from the Abasto”. The space blends old school architecture with the modern comforts, and boasts two ground floor patios and a rooftop terrace.

Chillhouse has the ideal location - allowing you to discover the 3 most popular neighborhoods of Buenos Aires easily!
The Center (Downtown, Puerto Madero, San Telmo) is an easy 10 minutes away using the metro line B (2 blocks to your left)
Recoleta is a 25 minute walk (take a right and continue straight on Agüero)
Palermo is 15 minutes away on the D line of the subway. Hop off at Plaza Italia (7 blocks on your right on Aguero). If public transports not your thing it is only a 25 minute walk.

We also have one of the largest shopping centers in the city 100 meters to our left. The Abasto de Buenos Aires was the most important market of the city during the last century. The building was built in 1934 and has been pretty famous for being a masterpiece of art deco design ever since.

Let us know if we can help answer any questions you might have regarding your trip.

Safe travels! We're excited to welcome you to our Buenos Aires home at ChillHouse. View House Rules

Beautiful guesthouse in a great central location. Staff were very friendly, rooms comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. Within a block of a mall and grocery store, so perfect for extended stays. Couldn't recommend more!

Loved my stay here. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, run by guys who have a vision of what the hostel experience should be and give it their all to their guests. Orange juice in the morning is fantastic, and the common areas were so comfortable to sit and chill.

I really enjoyed my stay at Chill House. Relaxed atmosphere, clean rooms and common areas, tasty breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Esteban was super helpful with recommendations on things to do in the area. I'll stay here again next time!

Extremely beautiful hostel with a great sense of taste. Rooftop terrace to die for. No air conditioning in my room which meant some noise in my room due to me having to leave the windows open during the night and they faced the street. The owners are charming and the staff gave me some great advice for things to explore in the city. Breakfast is basic but nice and there’s fresh orange juice every morning

An old house transformed into a beautifully designed charming boutique space. Feels like home especially with the wonderful staff. The room is spacious comfortable clean quiet and nicely designed. Location is very good, while not in the heart of any of the famous nice areas but it’s very centrally located between them all. Breakfast is good but one wishes there was more variety. Price is a bit above average for the low season, which might explain the low occupancy. Sure going back with pleasure!

Lovely place to stay. I would happily recommend. Pros - atmospheric town house, great roof terrace and lounge full of books, nice breakfast with fresh self squeeze orange juice Cons - location seemed to be within a short taxi/longish walk of lots of places, without too much in the immediate vicinity

Wonderful space, I think it would be amazing in summer (we were there in June) and the staff were so perfect with fresh cooked eggs and freshly squeezed oranges for breakfast every morning. I would however highlight that it maybe needs a few modern touches for example with the bathroom. Otherwise a great stay!

Great place with amazing rooftop! Staff knowledge of English and service is a bit variable, but all are nice. The main negative with this place is location. We had a few nights in San Telmo first, and found that to be a more convenient location.

I had a different experience than most as I met the owner of the hostel afterwards. However the breakfast was great and the travelers friendly. This was a little older crowd, but I made the most of my time in Buenos Aires.
