I came to Zurich for a weekend with 3 of my room mates, this was by far one of our favorite places. The hostel was amazing and clean plus in the best spot of old town! Loved the staff all very sweet and helpful (plus everyone was great speaking English). I will be back!

Great value for your money! Something to note, kitchens lack ovens and are sometimes a bit lacking, because people move kitchen equipment between the kitchens. Just get the equipment you need from another floor in that case. The staff manning the hostel is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Almost worth a visit solely because of them! Rooftop terrace has a great view, unfortunately they close it at around 22:00 each night.

Great no frills place to stay right in the city center. Beds are really creeky in the shared rooms so bring good earplugs. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. There are no morning snacks or coffee available so be prepared to supply your own breakfast. Wifi worked great. Rooms were suffocating hot with no fans for our stay at the end of June.

I liked this hostel, great location in the old town and near lots of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly, funny and helpful and the place has good facilities - a kitchen on each floor. Speaking of floors, there were 97 stairs up to my dorm!!! Shame the roof terrace wasn't open all night.

    Very Good

Good location, only 10 minute walk from the station. Quite expensive for a hostel but given its in Zurich this it is unsurprising. There is no air con so the rooms were hot. The kitchens are good, and bathrooms are fine. Main downside for me is that you can leave your luggage but can only collect it before 12 or after 3 when reception is open so if you have a train which departs in that time you need to store your baggage at the train station which can be a bit expensive.

Staff attempted checking in 3 people at once, was impatient with questions, and unsympathetic to the guest who spoke little English/German. She said we could leave our bags at the check in, but was visibly annoyed when I brought my bags in, saying they were safe in the room (no luggage lockers) even though she previously mentioned thefts did occur. My room (6 bed dorm) was tiny, with barely enough space to walk around/for luggage in between beds. Lots of noise at night. Would not recommend.

The rooms desperately need AC. Not much of a fun “hostel community” more of a place just to crash for a night or two. Also, only place I’ve ever had to pay for sheets throughout my travels. Switzerland is expensive enough without this expense!
