Only had one night at this hostel on my way out of Europe. Really great location if you're getting in or out of Stockholm. About a 5-minute walk from Central Station. Staff was really friendly and the facilities were really clean! Bonus that linens are included in the cost, I stayed at another hostel in Stockholm and had to pay extra to rent. Not much of an atmosphere here but I did make a few friends while cooking in the kitchen. Definitely would recommend!

A excellent hostel experience. Everything new. Fine dorm rooms (w/ lockers), toilets, showers, and complete kitchen facilities. Very clean and well kept. Main receptionist (Jenine?) is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A mere a 15-minute walk from bus/train stations. Neighborhood is in an excellent location. Only a short walk to most tourist attractions, but based in a residential area for those looking to explore more "native" terrain. Two thumbs up - way up. DEFINITELY would stay again.

    Fabulous

This was a nice hostel, just not what I was looking for. It's very clean and quiet. Has a lot of amenities. However, it is not social AT ALL. It's one thing to be a party hostel, but people didn't talk to each other at ALL. The rooms were quite small, so was hard to access my belongings. It is about 10-20 minutes walk to any downtown activities. Having said that, it wasn't a bad hostel. Just wasn't what I was looking for. Perfect for people who want a quiet night.

I stayed at the big mixed room and I think the only problem was that the lockers are very noisy so then if people is arriving very late or early they can really wake you up. For the rest, the hostel is perfect. There are many toilets and showers available and lot of stuff in the kitchen. It is very clean and all the people staying at the hostel was nice.

Very good hostel, felt very safe. Not a hostel where an employee is there 24/7, but still good. A little bit of a walk to the far reaches of sights in central Stockholm, but conveniently close to Gamla Stan, and down the street from a good grocery store. Close walk to the train/bus station.

    Very Good

Showered are turned on by sensor, and only run for a minute or two. Additionally, the shower stalls are very small, and you cannot bring in your change of clothes or towel as it will get very wet while you shower. Lastly, I found the bunk beds very squeeky everytime you or someone moves.

BED BUGS. I stayed in a 6-bed female dorm, 2 people in the room had bed bug bites. Reception took the matter seriously however was defensive and said their hostel is clean after a visual inspection of the mattresses. They didn't offer other beds to guests in the room. They were going to have someone come and inspect, not sure if it was fumigated. Otherwise, clean and respectful environment. People from other hostels were using the kitchen after hours.

City Hostel - Central Station says

We think guests most appreciate our friendly staff and the outstanding location. It's very convenient to walk to/from the Central Station and the City Terminal (with flight buses and trains) to our hostel. Our guests also appreciate that City Hostel is a quiet place where you can get a good night's sleep. The music in the bathrooms is appreciated as well as the cleanliness of the facility.
The City Hall (known for the Noble Prize festivities) is a few minutes' walk along the water and the Old Town with the Royal Castle is another few minutes away from the City Hall. But the best area is downtown! We recommend all our guests to explore Stockholm by foot with City Hostel as starting point. Our city is not that big, so you can see many sights by walking and at the same time enjoy the clean, safe and beautiful city of Stockholm.
Our main age group actually varies a lot; the majority are between 20-35 though. For fun they meet other guests and get together for a day or evening out in town. Since the mood of the hostel is very 'easy going', people read books, surf the web or just chill!  Erik, Owner/Manager
