Property Description

Welcome to Clink261!

Clink261 is a comfortable, centrally located hostel just 5 minutes’ walk from King's Cross Tube and St. Pancras International Station; London's main transport hub. The hostel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Clink261 opened its doors 20 years ago. It's come a long way since then, but it's still got that laid-back feel that backpackers love. Staying at Clink261 feels a bit like coming home. With a self-catering kitchen, friendly staff, and comfortable sofas, it's a welcoming place to return to after a day of city exploration. The old Student Union building has been brought to life with unique British-themed interiors.

Clink261 has shared dormitory style accommodation along with girls' only dorms and private rooms. All bunk beds have individual reading lights, a USB/electric port to charge up your devices and a locker (sizes vary from room to room, bring your own padlock). Towels are included in private rooms and available to others for a small fee.

Guests can chill out in the lounge area or cook something tasty in the well-equipped self-catering kitchen. They are also welcome to head to ClashBAR at nearby Clink78 (just 320m away) where there are DJ nights, live music, pool/table football, and great drinks deals.

Reception is open 24/7 and offers discounted tickets on tours and attractions. The friendly team will be happy to help with any questions.
Please note Clink261 is a cashless hostel. All guests must present a debit/credit card on check-in with the name of the person staying at Clink261.

King's Cross is a bustling and creative area of London. Famous gig venue 'Water Rats' is nearby, an open-air swimming pool is just the other side of King's Cross station (only for the brave!). 'Kerb' Street Food Market is held regularly in Granary Square. The British Museum and Camden Market are a 25-30 minutes’ walk away and all of London's big sights are easily reached on public transport. At just five minutes’ walk from King's Cross Underground, Clink261's location is hard to beat.

Stayed here several times over the years. Always found this to be a good option. Really like the lounge\kitchen combo. Went for the 18 bed room this time with the pod type beds which worked well despite high summer heat. Management invested in industrial fans to counter difficult conditions and we got through it.

Okay for overnight stays. Don't expect much on the cleanliness of the toilet since it is sharing bathrooms and toilets.

This was very bad. Not mainly because of the hostel itself but because of the people staying there. Had a scary man in my room who seemed very unpredictable and he slept in the bunk on top of me. The rooms are extremely small for the amount of beds in there. (I‘d say go with a 10 bc there‘s more room per person than in the smaller ones from what I heard) and it‘s smelly and no AC. I also met really nice people in the hostel (backpackers) but overall not the vibes we‘re looking for. Location was great tho. K

No AC and fan in my room, couldn't sleep well the entire stay because of the heat and body odour in the room. Asked for a fan twice but was told there were no more. Rooms and corridors felt old and dingy. Toilets got really nasty at night as well. There weren't any social activities as far as I know. The only saving grace was the good location. The service was alright and I had no problems checking in and out. Overall, wouldn't stay here again.

Hostel is in a good location and the service is alright. But a major complaint is the lack of ventilation in the room. There was no AC or fan and it was terribly hot and smelly. We tried asking for a fan twice but were told they ran out and there was no follow up. The toilets are ok but get very dirty by the end of the night. The vibe of the hostel is also very weird apart from the main reception area, probably due to the gloomy lighting and how old the rooms feel. It felt more like a workers do
