Property Description

The Clown and Bard Hostel welcomes you to a memorable experience during your visit in the capital city of Prague, Czech Republic.

Our hostel has been on the map since 1995 and still just as young in spirit and focused on our guests' satisfaction as the day we started. With an international staff motivated by building new friendships and promoting a lively atmosphere, it is easy to consider this place a home away from home.

We are located in Zizkov, which is just three tram stops from Vaclavske Namesti (the heart of Prague's center). Zizkov is known for being the most socially diverse area of the city, making a short visit quite comfortable and in some cases worth extending. For those travelers on a budget yet still wanting to experience the culture of the local people, this spot is a gem. ZiZkov has the highest number of bars in the city and there are a variety of beer gardens, cafes and restaurants with both local and other ethnic cuisines to enjoy.

We thank you for your interest in Clown & Bard Hostel and look forward to meeting you!

Overall for the price you pay per night it’s well worth the stay. It’s a bit of a trek from the old town square but since the tram is basically free it’s not much of a problem. Plenty of shops nearby like a lidl where you can get breakfast. Staff were all really nice and answered any questions we had. If I were to come Prague again I’d definitely chose to stay here again. Thanks for having us!

It was a good hostel with nice behavior of the receptionist. But there was a manager Mr. Richard who was very rude and terrible. At mid night he came to our room and asked me to vacate the bed however that bed was allotted to me by receptionist and then when I asked him where should I shift he said I don't know I will adjust you tomorrow (annoying!!!) he did not know how to solve the problem and how to behave with the guests, I don't understand which type of manger was he.

I stayed there for only 1 night in a 4 dorm mixed from Monday to Tuesday, so I don't know about the atmosphere etc. But I noticed that everything is very old, small and basic. My room (room orange) was jammed between a tiny kitchen and a common outdoor area. My pillow was 1 or 2m away from people that smoke, drink, chat in this small outdoor area :( :( Also the toiltet was sitting loose on the ground, I thought I'm about to fall over. The Neighbourhood was completely dull.
