It had everything you could need. As mentioned the entrance is a bit tricky to find and the hosts are not really around. However, they send you all the info you need ahead of time and everything was exactly as described. I would say the common area does not have much seating so if you are planning to hang out there, be prepared to sit on the ground. Definitely a friendly, community atmosphere.

Really nice place to stay, note there is only 2 dorms. So a small hostel. Also not a 24 hour reception. So try to arrive before 7!!

The hostel was fine & overall a good base in Oslo. Pros: -Very cheap accommodation in an expensive city -Able to cook your own food -Lots of interesting people in the hostel & a friendly atmosphere in the common room Cons: -Very hard to find; it’s in this random doorway up some stairs & no signs or indication that it is there -Limited guidance on what to do in the city -No one working 24 hours, so people would run up trying to check in / ask questions and no one was there

Nice staff and people to talk to, but ... - just one toilet per floor (ca. 16 People) - bathrooms not very clean - beds pretty hard - bad soundproof (you could hear everything from doors opening, people laughing, playing guitar etc.) - check out at 11 o'clock already - no curtains at the beds, so no privacy and you woke up often when people turned on the light Good things: - free coffee and milk - fully usable kitchen - storage possibility for luggage 'til 17 at checkout day - helpfullness!!!

Hostel was under construction so it was quite empty with little furniture in the main area for people to gather, eat, and sit. Make sure to follow the website directions and you’ll find the location just fine. Everything is about 15 mins walking distance. Free breakfast cereal, tea, coffee.

Getting into the actual hostel is very sketchy. The only "sign" for the hostel is "club 27" written on a non-descript alley door in green sharpie. They haven't finished constructing the hostel, so hopefully, a real sign will come soon. Also, the day I got there, the staff was already gone for the day, even though it was only around 5:30. The common area was lacking in comfortable seating options, so hopefully, that will be the next thing the hostel works on. Reception hours are VERY limited.

I've stayed here twice and despite arriving inside their reception hours there's been no receptionist when I'd arrived. Second visit I didn't receive an email with an access code etc and after calling the after hours number I waited an hour before a builder working on the site gave me a post it with my name and an access code (not sure how or why this happened??). Apart from this the rooms and common area are good size and easy to get to from the airport on the train.

The dorms are ok but lack ventilation so it got a bit stuffy in the morning. This is Feb, wonder how it is in July... Showers and toilets are fine but sewage needed rinsing where I took a shower. The kitchen area is small but ok. The ”dining room” area is almost empty, chairs and tables would be welcome. The entrance is not well marked, probably not to attract attention to the place in a poorer neighborhood. Strange, unsecure? way of handling charge when reception is closed, see policies.

The hostel was less than ideal. On arrival the staff couldn’t manage to recommend any activities. My room door didn’t lock for the first two nights and when it was fixed they changed the code on me without letting me know. Oslo however is a very nice city and worth visiting but next time I will stay in another hostel.

Smelt overwhelmingly like paint and it gave me a headache. The staff were unattentive, not present when needed and had a very bad attitude. I just feel uncomfortable walking into a strange alley and finding the entrance to my hostel be a blank door with the word "Club 27" written in tiny letters with a sharpie. Felt safe enough but the security can be more streamlined. The common area was loud and there was no curfew on silence after a time. The beds were pretty comfy though, I'll give 'em that.
