We like to think of our guests as family here at Coloria Hostel. Get cosy in the common room next to the roaring fire, grab a glass of Malbec from the on-site bar or head to the kitchen or BBQ area to prepare food family-style. In the morning, let us do the cooking – we’ll have a traditional Argentinian breakfast waiting for you free of charge. We'll also introduce you to our culture with Spanish lessons and tango classes on our outdoor terrace, or you can take some 'me' time with a dip in our swimming pool.

We're in the centre of Salta, only 200m from the impressive architecture and relaxed cafés of Plaza 9 de Julio. Adventurous types can get inspired by the city’s mountainous surroundings – Andean peaks and red rock valleys make this region super exciting. The staff were super helpful and spoke English, they also had suggestions for excursions and car rentals. Breakfast was simple yet good and the facilities were clean. It was super cute and had a social atmosphere and wasn't too far from the center. Way better than the majority of the hostels in Argentina. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice hostel with good facilities and really lovely and helpful staff. Bit quiet, not much of a party atmosphere. Spanglish was really fun on Friday night!

Really sociable hostel, had a BBQ there with other guests which was awesome. Great recommendations from staff and tours available. Comfy beds and clean sheets. Only downside is the bathrooms are not great and I had a barely warm shower.

I had a great stay at Coloria. Highlight was the food they serve there. The chef was amazing and very friendly. Food includes wine so the price is reasonable and it’s tasty! Was fully booked the next time I went there without a booking, so make sure you book in advance. There aren’t a huge amount of showers there, and lots of people going on day trips so make sure you get up early!

Had an amazing stay at this hostel. One of the guys working there, Sebastian, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He also is a passionate chef and cooks nightly at the hostel. He made an ‘asado’ and it was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! He even made all the sauces and salads from scratch and shared his knowledge of food with us to show us how to prepare the traditional Argentinian barbecue! I would stay at this hostel again just for Sebastian and his cooking!

Overall a good stay with very helpful staff. They gave me tips to see and even arranged a hire car for me. Downsides were only three visible sockets between six. None were near the beds. In addition, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling, but was otherwise clean.

A warm and vibrant hostel. Had nice communal living spaces. The hostel had a nice breakfast which included homemade bread. On two of the nights, there was an option to join in for a dinner at the hostel cooked by a local chef, the food was excellent. The staff didn't speak much English but were still helpful and forthcoming with information as much as possible. Kitchen is a decent size, but is lacking a lot of equipment.

    Very Good

    05 Jun 2019
This hostel tries hard but the rooms are so tiny and the beds and pillows are super uncomfortable. There are not enough bathrooms for all the rooms and they were always really dirty with no toilet paper. There is a good common area though and a garden, so it's easy to meet people. There is a free breakfast but it's the same every day and not very good. The hostel's in a pretty good location, and the staff are all really really friendly and helpful.
