From Berlin Schönefeld Airport, take the Regionalbahn train to Alexanderplatz, then change onto U8 towards Hermannplatz and get off at Kottbusser Tor.

Amazing hostel, perfectly situated right next to a metro stop allowing you to travel easily throughout the whole of Berlin. Big social area and kitchen making it easy to meet fellow travelers. During our visit the female showers were broken so the male showers were used in 30 minute time slots. The hostel did offer free breakfast and the cost of a small 33cl beer was reduced to €1 which was easily enough compensation especially as the showers was barely an inconvenience.

Really friendly atmosphere once you get to the hostel. Location is questionable but with good transport links and really quite fun once you get to know it. Facilities are what you’d expect from a hostel with such a good price and the alcohol was cheap. A lovely experience altogether.

For the money this hostel is THE ONE. It has a fully stocked kitchen, large common areas and hosts tonnes of activities to help to meet others. The staff were kind. The girls showers were out of action while we were there so boys took the first half of the hour & girls the second but they offered a free breakfast and €1 beers during our stay to make up for it. All reasonably clean considering, plenty of toilets, free lockers. Each room has a giant window so not so secure if you leave it open.

Overall great hostel. Location is fantastic, very interesting part of Berlin - massive selection of bars, food, shops etc and right next to U-Bahn station. Rooms are nice and common area is good place to chill out/socialise. Only negatives - had to move room and half of showers broken (1€ beers as excellent compensation). Would recommend.

Large and open lounge area meant that it was easy to meet new people. The location was perfect, I hired a bike and cycled into the centre easily. The woman’s showers were out of order so, they split the guys showers: men had it in the half half of an hour and women in the second . They also gave us a free breakfast and beer for €1 as compensation. The shower situation wasn’t even that bad, so was very nice and I would highly recommend.

The hostel is great value for money! The kitchen is the best I’ve ever had at a hostel, the bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Only downside was the social aspect; as a solo traveler it is important for me to stay at a social hostel but most people I met during my stay were either couples or in groups of 18-19 year olds who were doing their own thing - I ended up checking out early and switched to a more social hostel. If you’re in a group this is a great hostel for you!

    Very Good

    06 Jul 2019
I loved Comebackpackers and would probably stay there again :) Spacious rooms and kitchen, loved the common living area (cosy, felt at home and wacky decor added to the funky vibe) + the roof terrace - perfect hostel for young people. Friendly, helpful staff added to list of reasons of why we loved this hostel. Annoyingly women’s showers didn’t work but staff instead offered great beer for 1 euro and there was a free breakfast. Rating bit low as Internet didn’t work + bit dirty considering price

It is a friendly hostel with a relaxed atmosphere but no respect for people in the dorm (lights on and talking loudly at 1am) and the shower was working on a 30min for boys, 30 mins for girls schedule due to some problem. I generally felt a bit old compared to the other guests so I think next time I will stay at another hostel.

The single worst hostel ive ever stayed at in my years of travel! The showers dont stay on for longer then 20 seconds, beds are dirty and uncomfortable and the blinds dont keep out any light. Outside of the hostels control but also a negative was the location, on arrival there was someone overdosing 10m from the front door and at night you never feel safe.
