Loved the hostel! Pillows were not fantastic and there was no public area other than the bar. Would have been nice to have a tiny kitchen even if it was just a sink and fridge so had other food options. Otherwise loved it! The rooms were spacious, everyone was so nice and welcoming. Met so many people and had lots of great experiences!

Really good hostel - showers/toilets were always clean - staff were so nice and sociable - had a different activity on each night - the only thing I can fault is that you had to pay to store your bags

Great location, rooms beds were comfortable and the lockers were big, the bar has good deals during happy hour and renting bikes isn't expensive. Although there is no kitchen or fridge so not great if you're trying to save money by cooking for yourself

Amazing location! Right in the centre of everywhere direction you would wish to go. Also can hire bikes from them - which is the best way to get around Copenhagen! There is a basin in the rooms - which is a small but very useful facility!

The only way you can eat is to order at the bar, I missed a kitchen! Copenhagen is already expensive, but this makes it all even more so. The atmosphere was amazing, especially when you travel by yourself. It's easy to meet up with others!

    Fabulous

The hostel is centrally located in downtown Copenhagen. Unfortunately, there weren't too many good restaurants or bars downstairs. The place is definitely lively and has a good crowd on most nights. However, it's rather large and can be hard to meet fellow travelers. And yes, the noise from the bar does not quiet down until the early morning hours. Great place if you want to drink and hang out all night. In my case, all my dorm mates were in bed by 12... made it easy to catch an early flight.

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel says

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is that we're the real backpackers' in town, made by travellers for travellers. We want you to experience the real Denmark, its people, its humor and its personality. I believe that this place is the expression of a hostel how should be all around the world - full of magic, activities, livable common areas and crazy people that give this place an enjoyable and fun atmosphere.
The common area features a Scandinavian retro design with recycled wooden floors from old Copenhagen apartments used for the tables and benches, plus a lot of bright colors, wall maps, and other design features to make the area warm and welcoming.
There's lots to do in this area but I definitely recommend visitng Christiania - the Freetown - a unique place occupied/squatted in 1971 and now a community, where people live and chill out. Furthermore, the place has grown with bars, cafés, restaurants, concert places, art and has its own very peculiar atmosphere.
If noticed in advance, we can provide all kinds of food/drinks for special needs, such as gluten-free bread. Lactose free milk (soya drink) is always in stock. Jesper, Manager
