This is the most fantastic hostel situated in the middle of the jungle, giving you the best experience of the unique Daintree rainforest. Woke up to the sounds of the forest and a view from my bunk bed. Even though I only had one night there the staff made me feel so much at home that I didn't want to leave! Can absolutely recommend.

Wow. What a wonderful place! It’s immaculate, (the Community kitchen and bathrooms were pristine) well cared for and Norelle Is an amazing cook. Everything i ate there - especially the Moroccan lamb - was outstanding. It’s in the middle of the rainforest! And a true oasis. Only suggestion - add some hammocks. It would be lovely!

What an experience! This is not a party or fancy boutique hostel, but an entirely different experience! Sitting in the jungle, individual bungalows provide protection (and peace of mind) from larger animals and insects. Every evening there is a communal bbq dinner and a night-time walk through the jungle, which is slightly scary (not the biggest fan of insects, in particular spiders) but HIGHLY recommendable! Do not miss this place!

I had a great time at the Crocodylus Village, I even extended my stay. I think you need a car to stay at this place. It's not really a hostel, since I was alone in my dorm and there is quite a few cabins for couples/groups. However, I connected with the workers/volunteers who are backpackers, and the family running the place since a couple of weeks are very friendly!

Very hot in summer months but great people and had a great night with the people hanging around. No lock boxes in the rooms so I left my valuables in the car. Worked just fine :)

Staying at Crocodylus was an experience in itself. Nestled deep in Daintree rainforest, the location is remote - which is what made it so cool. Lodging is more of "glamping" than standard hostel fare, and you could hear the sounds of the rainforest through the canvas walls of the dorms. Stellar common area - darts, couches, tons of picnic tables and management was friendly. Be sure to note that they don't have wifi - which was almost nice this far off the grid.

Really cool place, you get to sleep in the rain forest in the cabin in a bed with a canopy. Very unique, worth visiting. We've got upgraded because of the COVID. Owners were very friendly and food amazing. Highly recommended.

Very no frills, but cute and charming. Great way to be very immersed in the rainforest but don’t be expecting fancy amenities.
