Because you are making a Group Booking, there are additional Terms and Conditions that apply. Please read them and click 'I Accept' below to continue with your booking

General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card on arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

We require a 10% non-refundable advance payment on Group bookings of 5+ guests

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Property Description

The Damhotel is a typical Dutch-style hotel/hostel which is located right in the heart of Amsterdam, just 3 minutes walk from the Amsterdam Central Station.

The hotel/hostel offers rooms for 1 to 10 persons with attractive prices. Our multi-lingual personals are looking forward to serving you and provide all the necessary information about our lovely city. Please note that the reception is located on the first floor of Damrak Street No. 32.

Reception desk staff will be happy to assist you in arranging various excursions including Amsterdam Canal boat tours, exciting trips to the typical Dutch village Volendam, excursions to Madurodam (the Miniature City) and much more.

We are looking forward to having you in our hotel/hostel and will make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Less than 3 days before date of arrival (start 0:00) for cancellation or modification: first night
Less than 3 days before date of arrival (start 0:00) for cancellation or modification for reservation with arrival on Friday: first 3 nights*
Less than 3 days before date of arrival (start 0:00) for cancellation or modification for reservation with arrival on Saturday: first 2 nights*

(*) because of minimum nights stay restriction

Between 21 and 8 Days before arrival: 50 %
More than 3 weeks before arrival: no charge

(*) groups = Every booking of 3 or more rooms

    Inexpensive, barebones accommodation right outside the central train station. The bathroom wasn't exactly clean, but it wasn't exactly dirty either — just a bit messy. Otherwise, pretty straightforward: a room with beds. No common areas. I was getting into Amsterdam at midnight, so it was perfect for me, as I just want a cheap place to sleep nearby.

    I stayed in a private room, room was comfy enough, very small but not enough coat hangers. The water in the shower went everywhere as the tray isn't deep enough so ended up needing to use a towel to dry the floor, supplying an additional towel for this would be beneficial. The water was warm and powerful. There was maintenance work going on in the corridor, it was very dirty and a bit dangerous. Staff were unbelievably helpful! They did so so much for me during my stay ❤ location is excellent

    It’s a rundown hostel, where the beds weren’t clearly marked. One of the bunk occupants walked in talking loudly with nor concern for the people sleeping in the room. She proceeded to talk to herself for about an hour or so where I couldn’t sleep. She also took 2 hours in the shower/bathroom in the morning, which was the only bathroom in the room. She proceeded to talk to herself loudly while in the shower, so she kept us all up in the room.

    Nothing special, you get what you paid for essentially. The hallways are extremely dirty and full of debris. The actual rooms are not bad, and the bed was clean. Amazing location though.

    We ended up here because we booked very last minute, but I would recommend to look elsewhere honestly for the money. It is cheap and central, but it's pretty dingy and the rooms smell quite moldy and stuffy. We were in a 3 person room and the beds are all next to each other, so we did manage to separate them slightly for some sense of privacy, but still very, very cramped. The lift was also quite scary -- there was no real door on the it so you can see the lift going past all the interior.

    The website is a rip-off which makes an insane amount of margin. Next time, book directly with your venue. As for the hostel, it is massively overpriced for what it is.

    DO NOT STAY HERE. the only “good” thing about his hostel es the location but there are plenty of hostels on the same avenue. Bathrooms are disgusting, people do not respect their bed number, they say you got a shared room with 4 beds and a bathroom but the 4 beds room is inside the 6 beds room so you end up sharing a bathroom with 10 people, and also the room.

    Worst hotel. The glass door of the shower broke upon first use. shattered on my head as it was not fixed properly. I was hurt with cuts all over.They admitted that it was not installed properly as it was newly renovated. And then WITHOUT MY CONSENT charged my credit card for 280 euros. Management refused to talk to me and explain. They are crooks. At reception dealt with Mr. Junaid and the manager who refused to meet me was Mr. Yunping Zhang. Horrible customer service. Rude & dismissive.
