I only stayed for one night in the Danhostel but I would definitely go back. The reception area and bar feel more like a hotel than a hostel as they’re very modern. Staff are helpful, shower is great with towels provided. The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable. I travelled with one friend and as two 18 year old girls we always felt safe in the hostel and surrounding areas. Good value for money. Excellent hostel!

Overall a nice place, more like a hotel than a hostel. The staff were really accomodating of a room change request for personal reasons late at night which I really appreciated. My only negatives would be that I didn't know a guest kitchen was available, would have been helpful to be told at check in. Also to pay for luggage storage for a couple of hours seems a bit unecessary.

My rating for the Danhostel would be higher but for an isolated incident. There were new arrivals in my room on the second day and they decided to throw away my laundry and claim my bed. I returned after a long day of walking to essentially find that I didn't have a bed or any linen. Fortunately I was able to go to reception and change my room with the minimum of inconvenience. Aside from that incident, the hostel has good facilities, nice bar, clean rooms, modern decor etc.

Not recommended! big and tall building. teenagers and family with children. When I entered the room an old man was sitting with underwear on the bed in the dark then two more older men entered. One of them started make noises and it was scary. There is one shower! Inside the room. And at night it was awful because the older mens snored really hard and I was after a 12 hour flight and was only able to sleep for 4 hours! One men got up at 5 in the morning and made noises until he left.

I am beyond disappointed with my stay at Danhostel. The staff messed up our payment and charged us more than the price on website with no explanation. They were extremely condescending when they were the ones that messed up the payment. We had to pay at the check-in and then again at the check-out because of their error. On top of this, only one out of the five key cards worked and the room was cold. I honestly would not come back to Copenhagen because this hostel ruined the city for me.
