Self-described as the largest hostel in Europe, so it has all the drawbacks of that— not very social, sometimes gets crowded with long waits for the elevators. BUT— it’s very well-run and you couldn’t ask for a better location. Right on the water less than five minutes walk from two great harbor baths, so you can start or end your day with a swim, and less than fifteen minutes walk in any direction to Christiania, Tivoli, and the National Museum. The bartenders and staff are very friendly too.

Danhostel runs a tight ship. First of all, it looks like a hotel. You check in and they hand you your linens (including a towel without a deposit or any hassling, unlike a lot of other European hostels). This was also the cleanest hostel by far that we encountered on our trip- including the showers, which are conveniently located in your room so you don't have to leave in the middle of the night if the urge strikes. The beds were pretty comfortable as far as hostel beds go.

Was in a 10 bed room but was split in to 2 smaller rooms. Only one bathroom for 10 so had to wait sometimes. Cleaned daily, big hotel seemed to be a lot of families so not sure it's a good place to meet people. Was on the 9th floor had an amazing view of the city.

Massive hostel. Not the kind of place where you meet a lot of people. Clean and modern. Fine for a night.

Don’t book in summer because the room is so hot and stuffy. Wifi doesn’t connect in the rooms, very frustrating. There is no fan or air conditioner too, so it’s not good. Staff is rude, and vending machines were all out of order. Not enough plugs in the room when you consider how many people are inside. No social atmosphere, just feels like staying in a budget hotel. Bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice and clean. Lockers are big.
