Lovely Hostel on the Banks of Derwentwater with stunning views across The Fells, the boat ride in was a treat in itself. The staff were friendly and very helpful with local knowledge, walks best pubs etc. They went above and beyond to help and make sure our time with them was enjoyable. The breakfast was smashing, better than most hotels I've stayed at.

Such a beautiful location! Staff were lovely and very helpful!! Right across the road from the lake, WiFi doesn't work in the rooms but you don't need it! Breakfast really good in the morning, just a stunning place. Be aware if you don't have a car that the buses run late morning to early afternoon, taxis from keswick are only £6 but very difficult to get in the morning because they are all on school runs. A great stay overall, the dog and gun pub in Keswick is also amazing!

Staff were great. The large dorm doesn't lock so is slightly less secure. The food isn't great but is cheap. Good value for money and a nice enough place.

Really lovely location, and our 8 bed room felt quite roomy, with good views. One or two groups of guests while we were there seemed to be experiencing a lot of drama which required then to have access to their phones, which meant the room with good wifi was occupied by people we didn't feel polite imposing our presence on. I'm not sure if they were typical guests or not, but it didn't spoil our stay at all, just made for a small inconvenience. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful.

Had a really lovely stay, all the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great! We had a car so was nicely situated for us but if you don't, there is a bus stop but I think the buses don't go too late and taxis can be hard to get. A lovely location and nice and close to Keswick :)

Gem of a hostel right on the water (the sunset over Derwent Water and the hills in the distance is gorgeous) close enough to Keswick but with great access to the walking trails. Kitchen is pretty well equipped (could do with another microwave) with lots of communal space, and the lounge areas are lovely in the evening with the fire going. Would recommend this hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were brilliant, friendly and accommodated my split stay. I was in a shared room with a beautiful view of a waterfall. The rooms were big, airy and there was plenty of space for peoples items. You need to arrive first if you want a bottom bunk but a very familiar custom in hostels. The facilities were good, with decent showers and beds. Being a busy hostel, sometimes the showers got a little mucky. The food was brilliant. I can't rate this hostel enough.
