Property Description

Dizzy Daisy Downtown was one of the first hostels opened in Krakow. In almost 15 years of our existence, we have provided thousands of people from all over the world a comfortable stay in our city, and hence the popularity and renowned name of Dizzy Daisy among tourists and backpackers. Come to us and you won't be able to keep away for a single night!

DDD is located on Pedzichow Street, only 10 minutes walking gets you to the main square. The same distance separates us from the main train&bus station. Dizzy Daisy is housed in a XIX c., two-story tenement building that has been completely renovated, and is modern and functional.

In Dizzy Daisy Downtown we offer: studios (twin room + triple room + bathroom), apartments and spacious multi-person dorm rooms with private lockers.

A cozy common room finds itself right behind the reception. Internet access (2 computers and wifi in the entire building) and tea&coffee is free of charge all day and all night!

Besides this, a washing machine and a dryer are at your disposal, which you can use at any time for the tiny price of 5 pln per load.

We offer free baggage storage, which resolves problems of early and late flight or train times.

The reception of the hotel is open 24 hours, and the people working there are eager to help. We will provide you with information on sight-seeing, tourist attractions, the best clubs and events. It is worth asking us about either renting a car or picking the best jazz club!
We do sell tours to Auschwitz, Wieliczka Salt Mine and many many more!

We guarantee that a dance club doesn't find itself beneath the floor of your hostel room, as it does in many of Krakow's tenement buildings, and outside the window you won't see a swarm of loud partiers. The building is equipped with monitoring, extra safety precautions, and is protected by a security service - you can sleep assured.

What's most important, is that DDD is a hostel with particularly attractive rates. Visit us then, visit one of the oldest* and most established hostels in Krakow.

*Dizzy Daisy Downtown was established in 2004 as the third year-round hostel in Krakow.

Overview

As one of Kraków's first ever hostels, Dizzy Daisy Downtown Hostel's welcomed international travellers since 2004. Our striking historical building is way older than that and has been completely renovated into a cool and modern space. As soon as you walk into the comfy common room, you'll feel at home. And you'll be close enough to the city's nightlife to go out and party before coming back for a good night's sleep. We've got an outdoor terrace for al-fresco coffees, as well as vending machines and a kitchen to keep your energy levels up.

Location

When you stay with us, you'll be in the laid-back Kleparz neighbourhood, a 13-minute walk from Kraków's huge main square, the city's hub. This is where loads of walking tours around the Old Town or the Jewish Quarter kick off. En route you'll discover local history and get tips on the top dumpling houses, bars and clubs. Kraków John Paul II International Airport's a 25-minute bus ride away – grab the free shuttle from outside the main terminal to the train station and then walk to us in 18 minutes.

Rooms and Dorms

Settle into private rooms or apartments with en-suites or shared bathrooms at Dizzy Daisy. Dorms are your budget-friendly option and come with private lockers, bedding and towels included. Plus, we've got hairdryers to save you from having to lug yours around. Need to wash your clothes? We've got laundry facilities on site. Our free luggage storage means you can check out on time, leave your bags and explore Kraków a little longer on your last day.

Extras and activities

You can research the top walking tours or keep up with your news feeds on our free Wi-Fi. Ask our awesome staff at the 24-hour reception for a free city map and the lowdown on Kraków's must-see spots and events. All around good hostel. The one negative was the beds. They weren’t comfortable and were very creaky. Any shifting results in the bed frames making noise. In an 8 person room this was basically throughout the whole night. Other than that, everything you’d want in a hostel.

I recommend! facilities are excellent, your every need is met. kitchen is a great social space and the connected room for chilling and eating is well designed. I enjoyed the morning coffees. I was in the 10 bed dorm. huge locker space, cleaning daily, comfy bed, code on door to dorms, hot showers. negatives were the beds squeaking whenever someone moved significantly, and squeaky floor. Earplugs and eye mask advised for light sleepers. I still had 60% good sleeps! Thanks!

The hostel is pretty clean and staffs were very friendly and helpful. Location wise about 7-10mins walk to the old town and 15mins to the train or bus station. Toilets were clean as well. Convenient stores are very near the hostel as well. During night the street was very quiet not a party hostel so for anyone who’s not a party person this hostel suit you. Highly recommend this hostel.

Location pretty good - about a 10 minute walk from the centre and 15 minutes from the main station. Quite a small hostel. Stagg friendly and helpful, but check in a little slow. One of the shower handles was broken.

The location was great!! Also the kitchen was well equipped and clean. But my room tho.. I stayed in a private room and it was full of dust, the ceiling has so much dust that I coughed a bit. Also the mattress was not very comfortable, I could feel the mattress springs. Other than that it was okay, I was expecting more for hostel that’s so well rated.
