Wonderful hostel for a great price! Our stay was short but the hostel was clean and had hot water which was nice after a long day. It’s a great location short distance from the train station. The hostel host even made us a lunch bag for our hike to Machu Picchu the next day! I would definitely recommend this hostel to all travelers!

Very good hostel. Everything you want from a hostel. They took us to a different location because of maintenance, but it was close and very nice. Amazing breakfast to take to Machu Picchu if you are leaving early for it.

Hostel centrally located and the owner can tell you all about the area and details of buses to Machu Picchu. We had a comfortable stay, WiFi was not working on our floor but it worked downstairs

The owner and his family are very welcoming and took care of our needs. The booking took us to Don Andre but we were escorted to Don Andre 2. In the morning for our early departure they made lunches for us to take to Machu Picchu. The rooms were very clean and relatively quiet. There was a festival nearby. The rooms had hot water and they let us stay past our check out time and kept our bags secured while we waited to depart by train the Hidroelectrica. I would recommend to stay here.

Pretty clean place. No ambiance whatsoever, didn't even meet any other guest (except for my roommates). Breakfast could be better. Weirdly made room with two bunk beds, one of which didn't really have an accessible ladder to get to the top bunk and the other one having a bit of ceiling hanging quite low over the top bunk (mine) I was always afraid to hit it when I moved.

    Very Good

When I arrived the original don Andre was fully booked so I was redirected to a second don Andre and upgraded from a 6 persons room to a 3 persons room, which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they got my breakfast to go for the early morning hike to machu picchu, and they let me keep the bag in the room for the morning even though it was past the check out time. The room itself was underground with no windows so it was hard to aerate after the shower. Good for one night

A great spot overall, but it's a little noisy in the corridors so it isn't perfect if you're a light sleeper. We had to leave early the next morning and the staff provided us with a lunch box for the next day, nice touch!

This place is hard to find (It is also called 'Killa House' or 'Killa Sumak'. Second floor, up a staircase, with the only marker in the street being a small crescent moon sign high above a doorway). The staffer was friendly but didn't know any English (I don't fault him) so I had to use Google Translate a lot. Room looked clean at first, but bathroom had leaky toilet. Bed sheets were not clean, with some stains and bugs. I had multiple bedbug bites afterwards. I do not recommend.

Do not book this hostel. I wish I had dug deeper into the reviews before booking what appeared to be a highly Rated hostel. I arrived at aguas calientes at night only to find that the address provided had no hostel, and the locals had no idea of it even existing. I searched around for another half hour or so and finally ended up booking another hostel nearby, and had a very comfortable stay. Based on some of the other reviews here, I’m glad I did. TLDR it’s not worth the trouble.

As no one appeared to receive us in the hostel, we had to find a last minute alternative, late at night, turning our visit to machu picchu a stressful experience.
