Great staff, very friendly and always on hand to help. Also free washing, breakfast and pizza night. Really good value for money and social nights are chilled and fun. Really recommend a visit if you’re in Darwin.

My favourite hostel in Darwin. Whole building is secure with pin code locks. The place always had volunteers cleaning up constantly so both kitchens were always spotless. Great that the hostel does a free bbq and free pizza two nights a week. Hostel is a little further away than others but the walk is short. Alternatively, Darwin now has Neuron scooters which are always nearby. Got me and my backpack to the other side of the CBD for $2.50. Never met the owners so can’t comment on those reviews.

It’s wasn’t too bad. The hostel staff were super friendly and really welcoming. They do a great free breakfast. The location is great, everything is in walking distance. The AC in my room was very weak and loud so it could’ve been better. There was no locker space provided for valuables and there were various items left in the room from previous guests that hadn’t been cleared out. All in all though I enjoyed my time at the hostel. A great standard of facilities and great staff.

Arrived before reception was closed... Noone was even there. To add insult to injury my room was not even cleaned or prepared. No locks on the toilets or showers. Whatever.

The bunk beds don’t have ladders which is really unsafe and the toilet and shower doors won’t lock? Otherwise the hostel is clean and quiet which is great

Despite comments of having refurbished all areas, they still are not great. Kitchen is dirty and small. We booked for 4 nights but only stayed 1 as the room was unbearably hot. Being in Darwin aircon is to be expected but this place does not and smells so bad throughout.

I've traveled all of the east coast and west, with this being the last stop and this is the worst hostel I have stayed in. The rooms were hot and I felt like I was in prison (no lockers, safes etc), the whole hostel was very dirty inc hot tub and the wifi didn't reach the rooms... Lots of long stays... However to be fair its in an ok location, free breakfast and free laundry...

Absolutely filthy rooms and showers. Rooms look like prison cells which wouldn’t be a problem at all if they were kept clean. Shows floors don’t get mopped at all. Weird vibes of the guests, all very shifty and had the police turn up twice one day looking for a guy living there. The outside area and kitchen is quite good but the ‘jacuzzi’ also clearly never gets cleaned so don’t go in there. Considering you can stay at other hostels for $1 more i would not recommend. The Cav hotel - way better
