One of those hostels that keep the vibe and energy of informality and comradeship. The staff is super helpful and friendly, you don’t feel like there’s much difference between guests and staff members. The same for the owner, he’s the most chill and easy-to-deal-with owner I’ve met.

The guy at reception didn’t know what he was doing and had to call the owner/ manager every 5 secs, and add to that he didn’t speak English, which I don’t expect normally cuz yeah I’m in Argentina, however you work front desk at a hostel, that to me is very odd. Next I was put in a 12 bed dorm after booking one for six, I tried explaining myself to him but again no English, the room was very warm cuz no AC/fan so the windows are left open so mosquitoes, to top it off- bathroom are disgusting.

I felt extremely unsafe, given the numerous characters who lived permanently at the hostel. The advertising was extremely deceiving: I expected to find digital nomads, yet I found the typical stoners that you find in many hostels. The amount of people who live permanently there and the type of characters made a single woman feel extremely unsafe. Rooms are HORRIBLY ventilated: I endured almost 40C in a room with only one functioning fan and no windows. I was also eaten alive by bedbugs

Never have I been received like this by a hostel. On my arrival, at night in Buenos Aires, just landed in Argentina. I ring the doorbell, I can hear the staff chatting at the front desk, no one come to open. I ring again, and again, and again. This takes about 15 minutes, the ring clearly sounding through the entire hostel, and finally a man comes to door and says: ‘what?’ with red eyes and a pissed face. He angrily and lazily checks me in. The hostel and the people there felt unsafe.
