Overview

Here at Dream Kasbah in Marrakech, we've used recycled materials to create an eco-friendly haven. Head up to our rooftop terrace and watch the sun set over white buildings and palm trees – bliss! Roll out of bed for our free breakfast, then join in one of our events – like a cooking class. We also hook you up with high-energy adventures like horse-riding and surfing, plus seasonal skiing. You can wind down in our common room, where you can watch TV or get to know other travellers.

Location

Our hostel is an 18-minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, a famous market square in the old city quarter of Marrakech, and to the local souks (markets) – where you can pick up handmade souvenirs. Our neighbourhood, Kasbah, is slightly off the beaten track – making it peaceful, plus you can learn about everyday Moroccan life here. Pick up some vegetables from the local stalls to make your lunch. It's a 12-minute drive to get here from Marrakech Menara Airport, and around a 30-minute journey from Marrakech Railway Station by bus.

Rooms and Dorms

We've got soundproofed mixed dorms and luxury private rooms with private bathrooms. Linen is free and you can hire towels. If you're heading out on one of our hiking tours, stash your stuff in our locker room. You can also store your ski equipment with us.

Extras and activities

Make yourself a snack in our kitchen, which is open over lunch hours, or join us at the BBQ. Afternoon siesta on the cards? Grab something to read from our book exchange to help you drift off. Or if you're feeling more energetic, head for a foosball match in the games room. We'll give you a free city map to help you find your way around – just ask at our 24-hour reception to get tips on where to find the best street food.

Had a great stay here 10/10! Booked one of the cheapest hostels in Marrakech and got very surprised by this place. Great rooms, good lockers, very nice and chill common area and a rooftop!! Also shoutout to the staff 😊 We booked a 3day safari to the desert with the help of Moulay at the reception and did it with other people whom we met at the hostel. Would stay again!

Place is outside of the market area, which is really loud, so being able to come back to somewhere quite is nice, Staff are great , but place is massive, two terraces to chill out, Apart from that , best place to be, seeing this is at the top of the list when your search for hostels . You won’t really need to scroll down , I’m just saving you time

Loved staying here, the staff were so lovely too (especially ayoub, molay and rachid). They saved us from going on a really dodgy sahara trip and also made us feel so welcome. They even got up early to make us a delicious breakfast before we left for the sahara and before our early morning flight. The location is out the city enough to feel safe but close enough too. One point for improvement: paint the 'dream' sign blue and make sure it's properly nailed to the wall xx

The staff were one of the best I’ve ever come across throughout the various hostels I’ve been to. Friendly, down to earth, hospitable, energetic and overall dope vibes. You need to book the 3 day tour when you get a chance, well worth the trip! YOU MUST have your three course meals cooked by the famous “Mogley.” Mogley’s meals are served with epic sized proportions that are packed with flavors that exemplify the extraordinary passion he transmits from cooking. Would book again 10/10

The staff at the Dream Kasbah were friendly and welcoming. The room was adequate, the food was incredible (especially the morning breakfast) and the assistance with booking tours was helpful. I did wonder why sheets and blankets were being changed every day. Someone in my group and another woman were unfortunately bit by bed bugs. I would recommend travelers bring insect repellent to this hostel. As for location, I had some unfortunately disturbing experiences with men in the vicinity.
