This spot was so cute!! Not a classic backpacker spot so keep that in mind. Liesl the owner puts her heart and soul into the place! The food was phenomenal (pricy on a backpacker budget but worth it!). It’s located in the jungle and is built over the wetlands. You can go for a swim or hire a boat for a day trip to Livingston. Dorms are very basic but do the job. One of the most unique stays I’ve had on hostelworld! Oh and be sure to bring bug spray!

The staff and owners were absolutely phenomenal and are truly good people. You have to take a boat to and from town which isn’t ideal but was never a problem during my stay. The restaurant is world class, but be warned there is no communal kitchen and the restaurant has American prices. I would definitely stay again

Amazing place! We absolutely had the best time there. The private rooms are incredibly beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Delicious breakfast and in general very very good restaurant. Everyone was super helpful. The restaurant is just rather expensive, more like european prices

Really nice place to relax. More of a hotel than a hostel experience. For us backpacking the food was too expensive to stay longer than one night but it was really delicious steak! Service was really good too though.

Lovely stay here- great location, and boat taxi to town. Our sheets had a few stains on them but they provided a towel which was great! Food is amazing, so so delicious! But very expensive and definitely not within a backpackers budget… much more like a TREAT. but it was delicious so was worth it. They are a bit cheeky with some things, like having to pay for water refills and half filling juices at breakfast. But lovely host and the sweetest dogs to play with- I would go back x

The location is beautiful and the love for the details for the house is wonderful. However, it is not made for backpacker. The eco lodge is more a high class restaurant, so as backpacker we missed a common room and cheaper prices for food. The rooms don’t have proper walls, so the guests who visited the eco lodge for food where quite loud until 11 pm. But the owner was really nice and helpful with some travel tips.
