Hostelworld says

EastSeven Berlin Hostel has a lot of thoughtful little extras like a printer, bike rental, happy hour, umbrellas and hairdryers, so it's little wonder they were rated #1 in Germany at the 2015, 2009 and 2008 Hoscars. This very clean hostel also features a large self-catering kitchen and an outdoor BBQ area where 'it's really easy to meet people if you are travelling alone', according to Hostelworld guests. It's also close to the great bars, restaurants and shops in Prenzlauer Berg as well as Alexander Platz and Museum Island.

This is NOT a party hostel and we do NOT have an elevator!
NO stag or hen parties, max. of 8 people per group (even if you make several smaller bookings) and no persons under 18 (unless accompanied by a parent and booking a private room).
BUT we are (very) clean and offer a lovely, relaxed atmosphere where you can feel at home, easily chat to our staff and make new friends. Hang out in the garden and use our well equipped kitchen to prepare your own food - and if you feel like it, maybe even cook dinner for your fellow travellers - we provide the foodstuff and a little extra on top.

Currently we can NOT offer an all-you-can-eat continental breakfast with proper Italian coffee and good tea for a very low price.

We're surrounded by cafés, restaurants, bars, clubs and great shops and you can walk to Alexander Platz (the heart of Berlin).

Book a single, double, twin or dorm with handy essentials like a locker, plug socket and reading light. You'll have a shared bathroom with power showers to wake you up if you're heading out early. Although our late check-out option is a great excuse for a longer lie-in before squeezing in some extra sightseeing on your last day! You can stow your luggage with us for free.

Extras and activities

Want to cycle to the sights? Hop on one of our rented bikes. We've also got umbrellas on hand (just in case!) plus phone chargers and padlocks if you've forgotten to pack yours. Make the most of the relaxed atmosphere in the evenings: watch Netflix in our lounge or use the free Wi-Fi. You can use our big kitchen to practise the international recipes you've picked up on your travels. Or, just to make classic cheese on toast.

We stayed here for one night during June 2020 - so in the middle of COVID-19 restrictions. The check in and check out processes were a little different than normal protocol but the hostel staff made every attempt to make us feel comfortable and happy during our stay. The rooms are cosy and everything is super clean. As we checked out, we did make a small mistake when returning the keys but the owner was understanding. This place has the best atmosphere and staff. Highly recommended.

it was very very nice to stay at this place! It’s very clean and you can get all information you need very quickly. Furthermore it’s close to Alexanderplatz and it’s even possible to walk to Friedrichstraße as both places are important hotspots in Berlin. can recommend to stay there:)

This is a good hostel run by a polite, helpful and enthusiastic team. I would definitely return. Either side of the approach to the hostel are two "Euronet" (Yellow and Blue) cashpoints. These are all over Berlin and charge ridiculous commission on withdrawals. If you need to withdraw cash use the ATMs at SPARKASSE banks - there is one by the Rosenthaler Platz Underground station 1km from the hostel.

We were staying right after they opened borders to only a few countries due to covid19, so there was a small amount of guests compared to what they usually get. Our stay was very relaxed, the neighbourhood was nice, all facilities were very clean and we wanted for nothing. Only thing we missed were some more people, but not much the hostel could have done about that.

I was there during Corona times so obviously less people and not such a good atmosphere as always. But the rest was spot on! Such a chill place with friendly owners

This was my first solo trip and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hostel is popular with solo travelers, so everyone there was super friendly and ready to meet new people. I had a great deal of fun and it definitely made the holiday all the more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, you have a locker to keep your things safe (and can get a lock for a small deposit), and the hostel was clean. I will definitely be coming back here again.

EastSeven Berlin Hostel says

I think what makes us special is that we're a well-organised, relaxed hostel in a cool and safe neighbourhood. It's a small and personal hostel - but also professionally managed. We offer a lot of extras to our guests, like free Wi-Fi, powerful hot showers, a private garden with a BBQ and happy hour from 8 to 10pm, with beer that's â'¬1 for 0.5L.
Within walking distance you can find Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, Mauerpark, Kollwitzplatz and more. I recommend people take a walk down 'Casting Alley' (Kastanienallee) and then walk through Mauerpark to the Wall Documentation Centre.
I'd say our hostel is ideally suited for relaxed, adult travellers who want to meet other travellers and who prefer the chilled atmosphere of a small hostel instead of seeking the large teeny groups in the bigger chain hostels. Female travellers also love it here because of the cleanliness. :) Joerg, Owner/Manager
