Overview

If you need a peaceful space for a spot of respite from energetic Berlin, Eastener Hostel is just the place – you'll love our calm atmosphere and warm hospitality. Strike up a conversation in our new common room; we purposely don't have a TV so you can really get to know your new friends! We'll also help you discover the city like a local with free walking tours every morning. At night, grab a book from our exchange with a free cup of tea or coffee. Reception closes at 8pm, so you know you'll get a quiet night in.

Location

We're in the Mitte neighbourhood, the heart of Berlin where you'll find a mix of attractions and hipster restaurants. Our nearest U-Bahn (subway) station is Oranienburger Tor, where you can hop on the U6 line for a direct link to hip Kreuzberg and the old airport, Tempelhofer Feld, which is now a public park. We're about an hour from Berlin Schönefeld Airport via public transport, half an hour from Berlin Tegel Airport and less than 10 minutes from the main train station.

Rooms and Dorms

You'll get classic hostel vibes in our mixed dorms and some hotel-style privacy in our double or twin bedrooms. We've got lockers in every room – just remember to bring your own padlock to keep your belongings safe. We've got towels available for hire at reception, and there's a small charge for linen.

Extras and activities

There are plenty of places to eat and drink in our neighbourhood, but if you feel like keeping it chilled, you're welcome to cook for yourself in our fully equipped kitchen. There's also a mini supermarket around the corner, so grabbing ingredients is super easy. Plus, we've got an ATM on-site in case you need to top up your supply of euros before heading out.

    The hostel is very clean and has a great atmosphere. And it's also very well located, close to the train station, to the tube and to bars. It is also possible to go by foot to most of the touristic places. Tim is always in a good mood and ready to help, besides being very organized.

    Matt was great! He was really helpful and gave a lot of information about the city. The room and bathroom were clean. The kitchen was a bit small but served its purpose. Utensils and kitchen appliances were complete. Location is around 20-30 minute walk to Brandenburg Gate and around 15-20 minute walk to Museum Island. The hostel is very small with only five rooms total, so it’s relatively quiet compared to other hostels. Beware though because reception is only open 10:00-15:00 on most days.

    We stayed in a private ensuite room, which had everything we needed (double bed, table, ensuite, wardrobe). Don’t expect luxury but that’s not what hostels are for anyway. Really would have appreciated detachable showerheas though. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was really nice at check-in and gave us tips for restaurants and cafes. The stay overall was great - the location is amazing and the place is perfect for those who want to have a private room and stay on budget.

    Very nice place if you are looking for rest, the only bad thing i find is the reception is not very much avaiable, but they find ways for you to do late check in or early check out.

    This was the quietest hostel I've ever stayed at. During my stay I think I only saw 5 other guests there. Still the hostel is really nice. The beds are comfortable. The member of staff who checked me in was really nice. The location isn't bad, about 20 minutes walk from the central station. The price is okay. Overall I'd definitely recommend this hostel.

    Not much to say. A quiet hostel, not at all for party, but perfect for couples who want to have a confortable nest after long days of sightseeing. Wifi could be improved. Recommended.

    Fabulous

    Pros: - It is really well located, since in 2 min you are in a supermarket and a metro station. The hostel is located a walking distance of Brandburg Gate and the main attractions. - The staff (Tim) is super nice, achievable and take care of everything really well; -Flexible check-in; Cons: - There is no 'common room' to hang around, just the small kitchen. So, the atmosphere of the place is lower than it should be in Berlim. - (really) Stuffy room since the window didn't open;
