Property Description

Eco Hostal Joshua Vegetarian Restaurant is a small, family run, eco-minded hostel located near the waterfront in Copacabana, Bolivia. Our large garden area provides a peaceful atmosphere for our guests. Within the hostel we have the only all vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Copacabana, and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We bake our own bread and are known for our falafels and veggie burgers.
Most of our rooms have views of the lake and open on to the garden. There is Wi-Fi internet available throughout the hostel. If you have a vehicle, we have secure parking available within the grounds. We speak English, German, French and Spanish.

We are located one block from the lake front and just a 15 minute walk from the main square and Basilica. Boats leaving for Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna are a quick, 8 minute walk down the beach.

We’ve created a warm and comfortable atmosphere in our rooms. Each room has a hand painted mural, windows, and wooden floors. Most rooms have sunset views over the lake and the garden. Our beds are very comfortable with new mattresses, as well as several layers of sheets and blankets for the lovely yet cold copacabana nights. View House Rules

A really nice hostel to chill out in, with the best free breakfast - homemade peanut butter, warm bread, fruit, oats, seeds, nuts, coffee, oat milk!!

This is an amazing place to stay in Copacabana even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian. The entire place is an ecological project in action and you have to stay there yourself to experience it. Joshua was very helpful in helping arranging and organising everything else I wanted to do in Copacabana like kayaking, cycling, hiking etc. The food is excellent at the restaurant too. You will feel like home here. 10/10 would stay there again.

Doesn't matter if you are a vegetarian or not, this place will provide you the best for relaxation and a peace of mind. I arrived here with just 2 nights intended to stay, but eventually extended for 2 extra nights. Even if there is not much to do long-term wise in Copacabana, I enjoyed just soaking in the sacred atmosphere from the lake Titicaca and Incan civilization. The hostel is super clean, food is amazing and Joshua and his family are really trying to make you feel like home here. Love it

Lovely family run hostel with great restaurant. There is no kitchen though. The garden with hammocks is a great place where to hangout, chill and meet people. I would definitely stay here again :)

Had a great stay at this hostel, nice private room for a good price. The food was great! Staff friendly and helpful, even took us to the bus terminal as we had a few bags and we would have had to walk up hill

Overall comfortable stay with a wonderful view of the water. Restaurant had good vegetarian food, large portions. In a quiet area, a short walk from downtown. A couple particularities: there is no smoking or alcohol allowed on the premises, and the doors of the rooms don't come with locks. You can use your own padlock (if it's big enough) or borrow one from reception for a deposit. The man at the front desk was a bit confused, tried to charge us double the website booking price by accident.

A small walk from town center but nothing too bad. The breakfast was quite good and the beds comfortable. The restaurant is great.

    Very Good

This hostel is ‘nice’... The staff were ok, but could possibly have been more welcoming. The breakfast was yummy, but don’t arrive earlier than exactly 730 (staff don’t like that). At night there is nothing to do except sleep, but the beds are warm.
