The rooms are nicely decorated, giving the place a very comfortable feel. The hostess, Anjana, is delightful and very helpful, preparing delicious breakfasts and helping take care of details like calling taxis when needed. Location was quite close to the old town, easy bus ride. Its a largely residential neighborhood, but its also just a few blocks from Bruntfield with some good cafes. The only down side was that the wifi network was unreliable, and sometimes down completely.

We booked the Regency guest house months in advance, it was a perfect location beside near our friends house. 12 hours before our stay the hotel emailed to say they had moved our room. They moved us to an hour away from the Regency & our friends house. This incurred us to spend a lot of money getting taxis to and from the new hotel and our friends house. It was New Years Eve so taxis were extremely difficult to find after midnight. The managers of the hotel were not helpful at all.
