This hostel is perfectly located and the rooms are so spacious! The rooftop is adorable and they have filtered water for you to fill up your bottles. The staff was so so so kind and helped us with everything. Great hostel, chill vibe, would stay here again.

I stayed in the 4 bed women's dorm on 2nd floor. Loved this hostel. Rosi and Roberto were amazing. Watch the steps throughout the hostel. Enjoy the great location and the good recommendations from Roberto and Rosi. Rosi's husband is a chiropractor and on Wednesday he does adjustments in the hostel $200pesos. Don't miss out. Only suggestion is that the room upstairs needs a fan (to lower temperature) or a screen in the window (to keep out mosquitos). It got really hot at night.

Everything was great except the hostel has mosquito problems. Maybe El Mexa can install mosquito nets to protect their guest from mosquito bites.

Nice place, clean facilities and good beds, rooftop is very nice for chilling and hanging out, kitchen was stocked well and living room was very comfortable, only issue was that the room was very hot at night, it needs a fan or something, also most people are there to work so not much ambient at night

The hostel is alright, but definitely overrated. I couldn't sleep well because of mosquitos. Cramped toilets/showers. People were nice though.

The location of the hostel is nice. I didn't found it easy to get in touch with the people and the upper dorm bed was ok for one night but I would not like to stay there for a week.

Staff was friendly. It isn’t a backpacking hostel with a social atmosphere, the dorms seem to mostly function as cheap accommodation for men going to work. Which is fair enough but just something to be aware of since it’s a different vibe: I had to leave my dorm to go to another place because one older fellow was snoring extremely loud and I forgot my Apple Lightning charger in the plug next to my bed. I came back next morning to pick it up but another guest had taken it
