This is a family owned and run hostel. Coco and his family are incredibly nice and welcoming. They stored my luggage each time I went on a trip away from Cusco for free. The breakfast is decent, bread and jam and butter and tea. They buzz every person in, so it's very safe. The location is great, near the center but still some distance so you can get a break from the crowds. The atmosphere is quiet, and I really appreciated it for a good night's sleep. Best of all, the value is incredible.

Clean and comfortable bed. Warm shower. Breakfast was good but I guess you have to make your own eggs. Lots of room and good decorations. Close walking distance to the downtown attractions.

El Tuco Hostel is great! Comfortable and warm beds for the cold Cusco nights; a hot shower; basic but good breakfast with unlimited tea, coffee, bread, butter and jam, milk; secure! Coco is very attentive and is always ready to answer questions. The place is quiet and a good place to relax and plan your Peru adventures !! We were also able to store some stuff while away on our Inca Trail trek! I highly recommend El Tuco Hostel!

Lovely, peaceful hostel in a great location in Cuzco. Coco and his family and very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water! Walkable to everything. They'll store extra belongings for you when you go to MP, which is very helpful! Definitely more of a quiet bed and breakfast vibe, perfect for couples or others looking for a relaxing stay!

The stay at el tuco was great! We stayed in total five days. The host is super friendly and helpful. We could enter the hostal at anytime. We left the hostal for 5 days because of the trail to the Machu Pichuu. We could leave our luggage at the storage room and the day later we could check out later to rest a bit more from the hike. The rooms and the beds are super comfortable and clean. The access to the kitchen is 24h and they got everything you need! Thank you again for everything :-)

Helpful English speaking hosts. Good services with laundry available and local advice. Ok wifi but not available in all areas of the house(kitchen). We booked a twin room, however were put in a room with 3 beds, and during our second day they removed one of the beds we were clearly sleeping in without telling us, moved our belongings around, and we had to rearrange the room afterwards which was a bit odd.

We loved our stay at El Tuco :) Coco and family were amazing - so accomodating and helpful. We could even check in before 9am after our night bus. Our room was lovely with lots of space and our bathroom had hot water! We also had a bonus little balcony which was useful to dry our towels during the day. Wifi was good and luggage storage was secure. Recommend the chicken/chips place at the end of the block - 8 soles for a massive meal...

Great hostel. Very secure (they have to let you in and out of the building), especially as it is on a main road. Road can be a bit noisy but didn't seem to disturb our sleep too much. It is a tranquil hostel and good pre-trek. They also store bags. Very clean place and room was cleaned every day. You have to pay for towels, per day, even if you're in a private room. Breakfast is a good (though the eggs option is not included for hostelworld bookings) and the kitchen is good if you want to cook.

Positives - very friendly, welcoming and clean! We very much enjoyed our stay and they were wonderful hosts. Only feedback is pillows seem past their best, hand soap should be in bathroom.
