Although it was hidden in an alley you can still see the sign. Near restaraunts and shopping areas. Small place but worth the stay.

It is a nice hostel, not far from Seoul Station. I really liked that I could have my own room although they are small. Still I think for one person is more than enough. The only bad thing is that they should update the directions. After getting out the metro station Hoehyeon the instructions are completely wrong. I walked around for like an hour before I got into a hotel and asked for directions.

Great little place and perfect location. Pretty much any bus in the city will stop right outside the hostel, but the English directions to the hostel are really confusing. I had to stop at a police station for help finding the place. It's Between Seoul station and Heyeon station--there's a famous market called Namdaemun market. Go to Namdaemun Shi-jang road and find Exit 7 of the Namdaemun market pedestrian underpass. Then it's easy from there, just up the alleyway. Small white round sign.

I've stayed at Elm Tree three times. The first time was for over 20 days so my friend and I were treated like royalty. The owners talked to us a lot and our rooms were spotless. The last time I went, a wet, dirty cleaning rag was left in my room, the air vent was black with dust, and there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. Everything was great except for the cleanliness. I think I will stay again cause the location is good and the price is also good. I just hope they clean more!

Mr. Park is the best host! He's very kind and helpful. He showed me how to get to Beomosa and helped me find a proper bus ticket. The place is ok, it's very close to metro and bus stops and the train station. There are a lot of food choices around. Breakfast is a toast and peanut butter or jam and orange juice box. You can use the computers for internet access. There's also wifi.

Great location right by an airport shuttle stop, a big market and close to the town hall. The rooms are super small (single bedroom was ca. 1.8mx2.5m incl. bathroom). The bathroom was tiny, there wasn't even a proper sink. Additionally, the staff doesn't speak a lot of English, so asking about getting around or recommendations is pretty much impossible.

Staff was great, VERY VERY KIND. They help me with lugage while check in and CHECK OUT as well! Staff was BRILIANT! Unfortunatelly that was the dirtsiest place i ever been in. Noone clean room after previous guestS, leftovers of food were all over the room, every single shelf was DIRTY/STICKY, floor, WALLS, evertying. It takes me 3 hours to clean it ENOUGH to even repack my self. Kithen at first flour- TERRIBLE. Ground flour kitchen-OK. Showers 1st flour-OK, ground flour full of MOLD.

Fabulous location BUT! on arrival the beds had not been cleaned, covered in stains, i had them changed and these still felt greesy. Breakfast was not as advertised and was in a small filthy kitchen, bread and help yourself toaster. Room was small and private bathroom only had a glass screen which was too small to use, the room size was very awrkward for the two of us and luggage to move/change/do anything. Bit grim but did the job, would not recommend, there are better standards out there!
