Kevin and Veronica were incredible hosts! After a long day of travel on buses, trains, and by foot through the cold rain at night, walking into Embassie's and being greeted and offered tea and biscuits in the living room was such a great way to start my stay. Kevin and Veronica were also incredibly helpful in giving advice on the best pubs and sights to go into while in Liverpool. Very genuine folks that are great to chat with!

This is the most affordable hostel that I could possibly get in Liverpool when I last visited there. Two good things: 1) the location with parking space. The madam had managed to get me a parking permit in the residential area for the night, so that I didn't have to worry about it. 2) the staff: they are extremely friendly and helpful, very easy going and would be ready for an informal chat. I felt they really had a passion for hosting people from all over the world. Bad things: None.

The Embassie was a great hostel to stay in. Very handy to the city centre and all the staff where friendly. The hostel owner does a Beatles tribute walking tour on Saturday's at 2pm which is very informative and worth doing.

Not many hostels in liverpool so they all seem overpriced. Super nice hosts though, the owners/workers are all incredibly nice and willing to help you out or offer suggestions. From that aspect it's a great place to stay. Quite run down, not the cleanest of places. Kevin's liverpool/beatles history tour is well worth the money, he's been around for a long time and knows his stuff. If you're looking for a an experience, good or bad, stay here haha

There weren't enough bathrooms/showers and the staff was kind of disorganized. It was a fine place to sleep, but I was glad that's all I was doing there.

Well we’re do I start first the mattresses are in one hell of a state destroyed and rotting the sheets aren’t cleaned or if they are very poorly. Showers are barely functional towels are dirty that seems to be the theme of the hostel dirty. To make matters worst my friend was ravaged by bed bugs he endured 2 nights there before calling it quits we had 5 booked. When shown the bed bugs the staff member recommended wearing insect repellent to bed!?! Redeeming factor we got a partial refund.

This hostel was absolutely disgusting. When we arrived the lights wouldn’t work to the bedroom or the shower. The rooms were dirty, the staff looked like they were drunk on arrival and it was so strange I actually thought we had the wrong place. We only stayed one night out of our three and they wouldn’t refund my money after telling them we can’t stay in a dark room the whole time. We were only ones in the hostel yet two lockers were locked so I guess they went missing or something.
