Emerald Fields was amazing, especially for the price! Situated in the historic center of Florence, great staff (especially Gabriel), and free breakfast. I have already referred some friends to this hostel.

Good location. Staff gives lots of good advice and cares about you and your experience. Good clean bathrooms. Dorel was really sweet with breakfast and makes you cafe lattes and stuff. Not really the place you hang out in but great for sleeping and having as a home base. Would recommend just for the staff and advice. Take cash when you check in.

The receptionist, Gabriele was really nice and sweet guy! We had free breakfast starting at 9 which I felt a bit late but he accommodate us by asking everyone for coffee. The hostel itself is not that big so we had enough bathrooms. The location was amazing for sightseeing and even Gabriele showed me the route what to see in the city. I just followed him on the next day and it was good enough!I really loved this hostel and would like to come back!

Amazing location, the friendliest staff ever, perfect coffee ♥️ The place offers luggage storage for free until 13:00 which was pretty convenient. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. The only issues we encountered were that the window of our room couldn’t close well (but we were still warm because there was strong heating and very nice bedcovers) and there were noisy people on our floor (but that’s not a problem of the hostel😅). All my friends were delighted to stay at this hostel.

Cannot describe how friendly, helpful, and accommodating the staff was. 11/10. Rooms were spacious and clean, sheets changed every day, as well as the bathrooms cleaned. Locker was not big enough to keep my bag in, but I'm positive they would have accommodated if I had asked. Room keys are old-school, so a little noisy to open and close. Bathrooms are private, but only 2/floor. Not the best for meeting new people, but great for a clean place to rest/use as a homebase for exploring the city!

You get what you pay for, the hostel was clean and staff friendly however it could do with an update, our room didn’t have lockers and there were only two Bathrooms for the whole floor. Room keys are old skeleton keys that require some wriggling and are very loud to use.

    Very Good

    27 Jan 2020
I stayed at this hostel for just one night, as the previous two nights I was in a separate hostel that didn’t have a room open for the third night. Overall, I had a fine stay, but it really wasn’t anything special. The bathrooms were a bit dirty, the facilities seemed pretty old, and it didn’t seem like people really talked much in the building. So it was a very average stay, nothing went wrong at all but I’m not sure I’d book here again.
