Property Description

Equity Point Marrakech is an incredible Spa hostel (swimming pool, Hammam, Massages, etc...) just few minutes from the famous Jemaa El Fna square.
If you find yourself lost upon arriving in Marrakech, just look at the locals with a lost face, you'll see that they will automatically point you towards Plaza Djemaa el-Fna, without a doubt, the very centre of Marrakech. Barely 300 metres away, the new Equity Point Marrakech hostel appears like a sanctuary for travellers, with 4 to 10 bed dorms, doubles and singles. No detail or decoration has been forgotten.

Its rooms have full bathrooms and exquisite furnishings, sofas, cushions, mirrors and paintings. Impressive common areas have provided to unwind from the frenetic pace of the city whilst getting to know people from all over the world.

You'll also be able to enjoy our swimming pool, so remember to take your swimming costume with you. In a typical year the swimming pool will be open from April to October, but it mostly depends on the weather. You'll be able to enjoy it daily from 10am to 6pm.
You will discover our amazing swimming pool in an arcade courtyard with a typical Moroccan fountain. A bath in an atmosphere you'll always remember.

At night you will be able to enjoy the peace and silence of the Riad's softly lit inner courtyard, or if you prefer, take in the amazing views from the rooftop terrace while enjoying a beer or refreshment from the bar. Rachida, our expert Moroccan cook, can prepare you amazing traditional meals.

The Equity Point group has put all its experience into the design of this hostel to set the standard in the city for travellers who are searching for a unique and authentic experience.

The city of Marrakech combines perfectly the increasing modernity visible in the new city, with one of the most emblematic historic centres of the world. The new surrounding areas, tourist centres, stores and big avenues like Mohamed V are strikingly contrasted with the old walled city and the Medina, where time seems to have stopped some centuries ago. The endless labyrinth of the Soug market streets north of the Plaza Jemaa el-Fna and all its hustle and bustle, the narrow streets and frescoes where only lost tourists looking for their riad and the odd cat break the silence.

Let yourself be seduced by the contrasts, colours and smells of the Medina. Immerse yourself in the fascinating activities taking on the mythical Plaza Djemaa el-Fna, the only place in the world where every day of the year you can find snake charmers, dozens of stores selling fresh juice, restaurants, bars, musicians, traditional water-sellers and acrobats.

The Equity Point group welcomes you to its newest destination city, we hope to be able to share it with you soon.

The facility exceeded my expectations in every way. It was like an Oasis in the middle of chaos. Staff was 110% awesome. Every single person was amazing. Beautiful, exotic clean, romantic, facility. Would have been perfect with better WiFi -- was almost never able to use it--and SOME non-smoking areas outdoors--I couldn't enjoy any of the outside areas without breathing disgusting cigarette smoke. I would still return with expectations of these things. INSANE value for $.

Absolute great hostel. friendly staff, clean rooms, very willing to answer any questions or help you with the booking. It is difficult to find in first place, but you can alsways ask someone on the streets to bring you there even at night. The pool and the rooftop are also amazing! Over all we highly recommend this hostel (Couple: 4 nights in total, 2 nights in private room, 2 nights in 6 bed dorm)

Well situated within Marrakesh. Some small unexpected costs were expected for instance a 10 euro security deposit. (Which is returned at check out) and the cost of towel rental ( 4 euro, 2 euro of which is returned at check out.) Both costs seem reasonable Very enjoyable experience overall

I regularly stay in hostel's and this is the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. The customer service is excellent, the spa was great and the buildings centrality (within the Medina), heritage and architecture is central to the character of the hostel. I highly recommend staying in Equity Point

Overpriced but lovely comfortable rooms and great facilities. Not great for solo travellers as it's mostly groups and lacks atmosphere

While the staff are very nice, a few things rubbed me the wrong way. Primarily, if you pay in Dirham (obviously everybody pays in Dirham, it’s the only currency you can withdraw from the ATM’s / plus the card machines don’t work) then the hostel uses an exchange rate of 12.8 Dirham per Euro, which is 20% above the live exchange rate. That makes the rooms 20% more expensive than as advertised. Second, you must pay 60+ D for self service laundry, which in my mind is crazy.

CHOOSE ANOTHER HOSTEL - After staying at dozens of hostels this was the worst I have encountered. The staff put parents and their 6 year old son in my dorm room, he was running around and screaming. The staff another night brought in new guests at 4AM and staff turned on the lights and showed them around the room, talking loudly at 4 in the morning ... No social activities for guests to meet other travellers. The pool is nice but not worth the other horrible characteristics. STAY ELSEWHERE.

In an unsafe part of the Medina. Very hard to find the hostel and is easy to get lost. Know of multiple guests, myself included, who were mugged or had locals follow them back to the hostel and then demand unreasonable amounts of cash for “guiding” them back when all of us said we did not want help. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A SOLO TRAVELLER, you will not feel safe
