Great place. Only had a short stay but you could feel the special charm of the place right away. Staff were very nice and helped us a lot, by allowing us to check in late. Hope to return soon for a longer stay!

Cute hostel house with lots of cool art on the exterior and interior. I stayed in the female dorm during the COVID era, so I was the only one aside rom the woman in the private that I shared a bathroom with. It was clean and the bed’s mattress was very comfortable. Nice breakfast options in the morning was a plus. Leas than 2 blocks away there is a food truck park and many restaurants, so you won’t go hungry. I’d stay here again next time I come to Eugene.

Coming to Eugene Whitaker Hostel was awesome! The artwork along the walls are fantastic, the staff, including Rebecca and Rain, were some of the most friendly, warm, down-to-earth people I have yet to meet. They also had an amazing breakfast spread of toast, PB&J + Nutella, Oatmeal, and an awesome free perk was free pasta, beans, rice, and yerba mate 24/7 at the hostel. The rooms had a small heater, the bathroom was clean, and they had a piano, drums, and guitars in the back lounge room. :)

Place/neighborhood was sketchy AF! Homelessness was abundant. I felt like my car was gonna get broken into. Luckily since I was leaving at 6am they let me park in the driveway with flood lights, otherwise I would have gotten a hotel. Hostel is an old/dated house.Super sketchy that I was asked to give a $20 cash deposit? Security was non-existent from what I saw. Anyone to walk around, doors were closed/locked it was easy to pick them. Beds were good, I was able to get a bottom bunk/more pillows
