Property Description

Fair and Square Hostel is the best hostel in Belgrade. With a total area of 400 square meters composed of three separate buildings, it provides ample space for a unique atmosphere. The hostel has 12 rooms with 47 beds total, each room having its own private bathroom. If you like to hang out and meet new people, we recommend our dorms. On the other hand, if you travel as a pair, make sure you book one of our 6 private rooms (4 of which have an ensuite bathroom) and we guarantee that you will have a feeling of staying in a four-star hotel :)

A commons room located in its own separate building with a cafe-restaurant-lounge atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff will encourage you not to rush into sightseeing, but with excellent coffee, tea, beer or domestic rakija will get you in the mood to make a good plan for what to see, where to go and what to do.

After months of empty hostels, Fair & Square offered a welcoming atmosphere with lots of other travellers hanging around. Not only do they offer the cheapest private rooms in all of Belgrade, but they also have great clean facilities, kitchen, yard, helpful staff and a German Shepherd named Fritz. The TV and Playstation are the cherries on top of this cool cake!

Lovely hostel with very friendly staff. It is located a good 30 minute walk from downtown Belgrade. But for me that was a bonus - far nicer and quieter.

Helpful staff eg they called me a cab. Private room with shower was basic but decent and good value. Up the hill there’s a nice shisha bar and a basic hamburger / grill joint.

Quite far from the main bus station. It takes 2 means of transportation to get here and the price of the ticket if bought from the driver is expensive. There are so shabby lockers without locks on them and they do not offer/sell locks at the reception. But there is a lot of free food in the kitchen! The atmosphere and the staff are great! Plus the surroundings are peaceful.

The common spaces (chilling room, kitchen and yard) are really spacious and they share a pretty nice atmosphere. The staff was really helpful. My only bad point is the not so clean room(curtains-floor) and that the parking was actually not for free. You can park for free in the street but if you want to park in the hostel's area, you should pay 500 dinars- so it is better if this would be written.

Good hostel, good value for money, had free parking and also offered more secure paid parking for a couple dollars per night. Facilities were great, staff were helpful. It's a fair way out of the main area of Belgrade, but was good for what we were looking for. Only negatives were a constantly running toilet and a light in the hall that shined all night in our eyes in the bedroom while trying to sleep.

Basically a good hostel. As introduced, location is very far from the main Belgrade so I expected there were no loud party people. They should explain well about deposit money and doing dishes because many guests did not understand basic manner and even volunteers are not willing to do it (unbelievable). Volunteers do not have literal "volunteer mind", sadly. I need have asked dishes in a busy time. In the introduction, pets are slightly implied but I did not expect they're in kitchen.

I usually don’t give bad reviews here but we booked a private room with bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush and there was no hot water. We told three staff members about the toilet (one said they would help the other didn’t give a care and barely acknowledged us). Besides the remote location we felt like we were bothering the staff by even being there. We were there for 2 nights/ 3 days and were told to use the bathroom off the kitchen. Not cool. The dog and cat were cute tho!
