Great location, comfortable spacious rooms with single beds (not bunk), Feels very secure since it's not easy to get there and enter the rooms. Bathroom and shower are ensuite, and are spacious and clean. on the other hand, it's not a social hostel, and except for the small kitchen, no place to hang out. the receptionists didn't ask if I need any orientation, recommendations, maps of the area or anything. bathroom and shower facilities feel old and should be fixed or renewed.

The place is great to crash and wind down after a hectic day at Madrid's center, since it's at walking distance from most of the main points of the city. There's not much in the way of social spaces, but there is a little kitchen where you can store food bought in supermarkets nearby, and sit down for a cup of coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful, they spoke both english and spanish. The walk from the Sol metro station with heavy bags might prove a bit bothersome, since it's uphill.

The name says hostel, but that's as far as it goes. These are apartments that have a reception. My private room had all the usual stuff plus a nice living room, fully stocked kitchen, a clothes washer, etc. The wifi didn't work so well. While the facilities are amazing and the value terrific, there is zero social area or scene. It's exactly like renting an apartment.
