I booked a bed in a female room. When I arrived in my room, the beds were messy and had no pillow. I went to the staffs to report the problem and, promptly, they put me in a private room. Thank you for the Fat Camel team's attention!

This is the second stay I've had at the Camel. This apartment was much better, with only 2 rooms (a 4 bed and a 6 bed mixed dorm). Much better in terms of the noise generation being kept to a minimum, save the noisy Americans that turned up (can't avoid them, I guess). Otherwise good. The facilities left a little to be desired however, with the dryers needing a double cycle and the kitchen only having half of the elements working. The staff were friendly as always, and make all the difference.

Sells itself as a fun social hostel and isn’t really, but clean enough, safe enough and good value. Best part is definitely the location, if you’re looking for nice go a few doors down to Nomad. Fat camel bar is also cheap to start the night but not that fun

Bed was clean. Our dorm room had a broken window, there was actually a hole there with no tape/cover whatsoever. The pressure of the shower was not good and it took a long time to get hot. Kitchen was also kind of dirty... But you can’t expect much for the price you pay I guess. Apart from that, it’s a fine location and the staff is friendly.

I have stayed at multiple backpackers in the past. All receptionists at my previous stays have been usually friendly and receptive. However, the receptionist who works on weeknights here is rude and uncouth, and totally uncooperative. Behaves like he owns the place, and totally uncouth and uncooperative. Putting out this comment so that future boarders know what to expect if they check-in the middle of the night and unfortunately come across this guy.I still wonder how did he even get hired ?

Excellent location. Really good WiFi. But beware, really bad kitchen, unclean facilities, only one bathroom for an entire floor of people, leaving boys using the showers as toilets. And you can’t even access any other toilets! Also mainly people living there, in our room they were really bad, bringing all their friends into an already too small room and taking over the place. Not a comfortable stay. But good location and for the price, really great. Just need to be aware for the residents.

The thing that mostly of the rooms don't have a window makes everywhere humid, sticky and smelly. Cleaners try their best but of course is up to backpackers to keep tidy and clean. No more than a week in there

Dirty place everywhere you look at, it was disgusting to stay there! Noisy people and we didn’t feel secure there. I don’t recommend it at all

Booked several months in advance and when i was arrived i was told they didnt have space and was moved to a different hostel 20 min walk away(in opposite direction from town). No notice and they didnt even explain where the new hostel was or offer any help to get there. New place then had beds that had collapsed on the sides and so i fell out multiple times bum my head on the bedside table each time.
