Overview

Our home-like Florentine Backpackers Hostel is in one of Tel Aviv's trendiest neighbourhoods. The day begins with free breakfast – rally the troops if you're looking for companions to join you on our free daily walking tour. When you get back, sit back with a drink and take a snap of the view from our huge rooftop terrace. Our on-site bar sells beer for the same price as the supermarket (that's cheap!), and our fully equipped kitchen means you can whip up a cash-saving meal to go with it.

Location

With its craft beer bars, live jazz and quirky cafés, Florentin has a reputation as Tel Aviv's hippest neighbourhood. That means you'll find plenty of places to eat, drink and party nearby. Alma Beach is just 15 minutes' walk away, as is historic Old Jaffa with its winding streets and famous flea market. If you're flying in from Ben Gurion Airport, it'll take you just over an hour to get to us using public transport.

Rooms and Dorms

Our mixed and female-only dorm rooms all have air con, and there are free lockers to keep your valuables safe and sound. We also have private rooms for small groups, giving you and your travel mates extra space to unpack and unwind. Towels and linen are included with every bed, so you can leave room in your bag for some of those flea market bargains.

Extras and activities

Our powerful free Wi-Fi reaches all through the building, so you'll have no trouble updating your Instagram story. We've got a laundry room on-site, too, so you can wash the salt from your swimsuit after an epic day trip to the Dead Sea. For a low-key afternoon, grab something to read from our book exchange and head to the beach, or hang out on our terrace. We've got plenty of board games in our common room too if you're not up for a night out.

This place is incredible and by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! While the rooms and bathrooms are basic, they are kept extremely clean by all the amazing volunteers. The atmosphere is great - so easy to meet fellow travellers - and the terrace setup is a dream and really welcoming. This is my second time at this hostel this year and I never want to leave! Free breakfast which is solid and a tip-based dinner which is great, since TLV is pricey. Already planning my next visit...

I had a very short stay on way to Jerusalem. The staff (Natalie and the volunteer from Moldova) were the best part. Nice place. Friendly travelers.

This hostel is may not be modern and new but it has one of the best atmosphere’s I have experienced for a hostel! I stayed here twice, all the staff are friendly and make your experience memorable and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Beds are comfortable, plenty of showers/toilets and the place is always clean. Location is about 15 mins to the beach, 25 mins to train and 20 mins to bus. Dinner/Breakfast are provided every day which helps with budgeting as Israel is quite expensive!

Amazing hostel - I must have met over 100 people while hear. You’ll never be lonely. Cleanliness fine. Would recommend to anyone who wants a lively hostel but not a completely party orientated one. Brilliant terrace. Love the staff as well! Pete

Amazing value for money for TLV – you can’t really look past this one if you’re coming to Israel. Great location, close to the old city of Jaffa and the beach. The place has a fun and accepting atmosphere – very much a reflection of the city itself. It’s a hostel where you can be yourself. There’s two common areas – a chill lounge and a beautiful rooftop terrace so there’s a place to escape if you don’t wish to party. Staff were mostly amazing - shoutout to Verena. Great for solo travelers.

They've got a sick balance going here, if you just wanna chill then no worries, if you wanna sesh then it's perfect as well! I feel like the volunteers should have more time to interact with the guests though, met a legend called JJ, the best hostel volunteer ever, absolutely made the place! Dinner is decent, but no meat as Israel is so expensive so fair enough. Free brekkie is pretty good too, not much I'd change tbh.

    Very Good

Nice to be outside of the prices of downtown Tel Aviv, but still a great midpoint between Tel Aviv and Jaffa. So much great street art around. Hostel promotes a communal, party vibe, so maybe not the best for early risers. Good recommendations from staff, but most bathrooms were a bit far from the upstairs rooms. Beautiful, comfy rooftop.
