Our home-like Florentine Backpackers Hostel is in one of Tel Aviv's trendiest neighbourhoods. The day begins with free breakfast – rally the troops if you're looking for companions to join you on our free daily walking tour. When you get back, sit back with a drink and take a snap of the view from our huge rooftop terrace. Our on-site bar sells beer for the same price as the supermarket (that's cheap!), and our fully equipped kitchen means you can whip up a cash-saving meal to go with it.

With its craft beer bars, live jazz and quirky cafés, Florentin has a reputation as Tel Aviv's hippest neighbourhood. That means you'll find plenty of places to eat, drink and party nearby. Alma Beach is just 15 minutes' walk away, as is historic Old Jaffa with its winding streets and famous flea market. If you're flying in from Ben Gurion Airport, it'll take you just over an hour to get to us using public transport.

Rooms and Dorms

Our mixed and female-only dorm rooms all have air con, and there are free lockers to keep your valuables safe and sound. We also have private rooms for small groups, giving you and your travel mates extra space to unpack and unwind. Towels and linen are included with every bed, so you can leave room in your bag for some of those flea market bargains.

Extras and activities

Our powerful free Wi-Fi reaches all through the building, so you'll have no trouble updating your Instagram story. We've got a laundry room on-site, too, so you can wash the salt from your swimsuit after an epic day trip to the Dead Sea. For a low-key afternoon, grab something to read from our book exchange and head to the beach, or hang out on our terrace and have a barbecue. We've got plenty of board games in our common room too if you're not up for a night out.

Absolutely amazing place. I enjoyed every last second of it, my only regret is that I was only here for two nights. The best thing was definitely the sense of community, everyone speaking to everyone, evening meals together. Without a doubt one of my favorite hostels of all time, I'll be coming back here when I get back to Israel.

Great staff - very helpful, the area may be a little too Berlin-ish for some people but I love it! Close to the beach and bus station, bars and walking area. Clean, organized and felt very safe. Would come again!

I stayed at Florentine Hostel for over two weeks, little did I know it was going to be the best two weeks of my life. Upon arrival I was greeted so warmly with a cold freezie to help cool off from the amazing weather outside, given all the info I needed to know abut Tel Aviv and just felt like I instantly belonged. The hostel is constantly being cleaned you never have to worry about a mess anywhere, the staff are there to make you feel like its home, and the vibe is something out of a fairytale.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Super clean and comfortable, everyone is really chill and welcoming, cool terrace to hang out on. Everyone goes out together and they have free shisha. 15 minutes walk to the beach, close to clubs, and everything Tel Aviv has to offer. I’m coming back to Tel Aviv and staying again!

I had a great stay, and I have zero complaints! I felt very comfortable at the hostel (both cleanliness and security-wise), and I enjoyed the social atmosphere, but also the fact that people really do respect quiet hours for sleeping as well.

This is the place to stay in Tel Aviv! Close to the central bus/train station and a 15min walk to Jaffa and the beach. Everything in Tel Aviv is super easy to get to as well. The atmosphere is amazing, as a solo traveler you'll definitely meet people as there's a tip based dinner every night before happy hour and then everyone goes at around 11pm. It's a party hostel but also quiet at night if you do want to sleep. Free breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, as well as the AC in the rooms.

I had a pleasant stay overall. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Many people staying at the hostel are constantly hanging around the balcony - which is ideal if you are looking to socialize during your stay. There was one employee who didn’t book my taxi to the airport, but was later corrected by someone else. Aside from that, I had a nice stay.

Check in is at 2 pm so if you arrive before you should put your stuff in the terrace under the sun. Position is not that good, if you come back during the night you are going through dark and strange streets. Also, going to the beach requires about 15 minutes walking, and you are far away from city centre. Services are not that clean, could be better. People working there are really good by the way

We had a 6 dorm room and it was 10 m2. I could touch the other bed whill i was in my bed. Also al the stuff of every one needs to be in the rooms. So we could not open ore bags in the room ore walk. Every time you need to pick up your bag and go to the hall. Hostel was not very clean. Location was oke, 10 minuts walk from jaffa and the beach. If the rooms where bigger it was oke, price/kwalitie is not oke.
