The Flutterby House was beyond incredible. The vibe of that place is unreal. All of the staff members are so happy and welcoming, which makes all of the difference! The dorms are clean, the bathrooms/showers are wonderful, especially for a hostel, and the food is so delicious! Special shout out to Jen who works there. She befriended myself and my friend who I’m travelling with and went out of her way to make sure we had the best time! I definitely recommend staying here!!!

Great hostel. Good bar and organic food restaurant on site (with gluten free options). Very clean shared bathrooms, and we never had to wait for a shower. Really friendly staff. Each bed has mosquito nets and lockable storage box with shelf. Overall a great hostel to stay at!

The staff was amazing. I got to party with them after quiet hours. The good was very tasty and big portion sizes. I was traveling alone and the atmosphere was wonderful for making new friends.

The best hostel I stayed at in Costa Rica. Just a few minutes walk from the beach, amazing staff, great social areas, and I loved the chickens and dogs that also call it home. The ONLY negative is that it can be quite loud as the dorms are basically in the bar and it’s all quite open, but this was definitely worth the trade off - just bring a pair of ear plugs (and they enforce quiet after 10:30 so it’s not too bad either way). Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing hostel! Such a nice social vibe, many people. Staff is very cool and helpful, can help you book tours, figure out buses etc. Dorm is good, mattress was ok. The kitchen wasn't always that clean but that depends a lot on the guests as well of course. Huge book exchange and FREE BANANAS. If you wanna go surfing, book it through the hostel, the dude they work with (Rama) is amazing. I would always come again when staying in Uvita

The hostel itself was great. The staff were fantastic, I got to know a few of them really well. I stayed in the treehouse which was actually so freaking cool. I would stay here again. The whole atmosphere is really hip and trendy. The food was alright. Honestly the main thing I didn’t like was the fact that you had to wear a wristband. It’s already obvious to locals when you are a tourist, wearing a wristband is like painting a bullseye on you and as a solo traveller, I wasn’t a fan.

    Very Good

The 6 bed treehouse was cool but a little cramped and the bathrooms were a bit dirty. The social areas were great and the food from the restaurant was delicious! I think it was a little expensive for what you got...

It was alright but it was very eco Freindly to a point where everything had a vegan option- even the eggs? The rooms were hot and not cozy. The bed nets are too thick for the fans to get through and it gets hard to breathe and is super stuffy. The pillows need an upgrade. I had a chicken ceaser wrap it was good but over priced. The staff was very freindly. Overall it was alright it just wasn't for us.
