Good helpful hostel in a lovely corner building. Stored luggage when we trekked the Colca Canyon. Seemed a bit light in bathrooms but it was quite quiet when we were there so not an issue we even had a dorm to ourselves.

We had a beautiful private room which was totally worth the money. The staff was awesome, huge thanks to the young and older christian, it was a pleasure with you. At NYE they offered fireworks and a few free drinks. The location in arequipa is great. The hostel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and the plaza de armas is reachable by a 5min walk. We are glad to booked this hostel and we would definitely come back whenever we‘re in arequipa again.

Thanks for having us, the staff was super friendly and helpful!! The only reason why I don’t give the full points is because the room was a bit old meaning that some furniture was a little broken and the bathtub was old. But that’s the only con and only for the management. The people who worked there where top. Location was also super nice as you can easily walk to the main square

Good place with plenty of space. Can be loud at times as they run bar nights and close to main roads. Staff really friendly and helpful, recommend.

Me and my partner had an amazing stay. We booked a private room which was absolutely gorgeous for the price, and found everything to be pleasant and above expectations. The atmosphere is really amazing, and the hostel is conveniently located near Arequipa's Plaza las Armas. Highly recommend!

The flying dog is a very quaint hostel which resembles a ranch in its architecture. A simple layout and comfortable beds. It’s located along a key pickup point for the peru hop tours. I highly recommend going to see the colca canyon and the condors, as well as the Andino sanctuary museum where they have the mummy of “Juanita” who was sacrificed to the gods by the Inca. The staff are helpful and some of the peru hop guides even stay here so you can ask them questions about planning things

It was a decent clean place to stay. Rooms are not overcrowded and tons of social space.

Very quiet when we stayed, the hostel could be really nice, a courtyard and a terrace but not utilised- there could be hammocks or comfy chairs. There is breakfast provided with quite a bit of variety but the guy making it was quite grumpy. The room was spacious and beds were comfy. Location is great, within town close to restaurants and bars and the sites.

    Very Good

    19 Oct 2019
I was quite disappointed with my stay. The location is good but at night as a lot of the dorms are facing the street it was quite noisy and was very difficult to sleep. The lights in the bathroom weren’t working so if you wanted to shower, you had to do so in the dark. Also there was hardly any hot water for the duration of my stay. I was upset as it seemed I was ripped off for my Colca Canyon tour which I booked through the hostel compared to everyone else on my tour who paid a lot less.

Mayb I just stayed at a bad time and it was rainy but there was no atmosphere. The dorm was nice but common areas seemed a bit dirty. I personally think there’s better places to stay.
