Hostelworld says

If you're interested in historical Dublin, Four Courts Hostel is a good place from which to start; they're near Christchurch Cathedral, the Guinness Storehouse, the Brazen Head (Dublin's oldest pub) and the Jameson Distillery. We like their large movie room with couches in the basement, described by one Hostelworld user as having 'loads of communal space to relax and unwind'. Our visitors have said their staff are 'funny and friendly' and 'wonderful and so helpful'; they host free BBQs, pub crawls and walking tours so you can explore Dublin and meet other travellers as well.

Property Description

Dublin's favourite hostel has everything you require. We have the best location for visiting the Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Temple bar and the Brazen Head - Ireland's oldest pub!!
We were voted Dublin's best hostel in February 2011 and Lets go guidebook states 'Best hostel in Dublin'. Great!
We provide free Internet terminals and free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, free guided walking tours and free city maps.

Wednesday is discounted pub crawl night. Cool!
Enjoy the latest movies with netflix, Table Tennis, a pool table, board games, a book swap library in our reading room and even free guitars to make yourself more attractive to the opposite sex!

If you feel like cooking we've got a large self-catering kitchen and dining area; we can also provide packed lunches and arrange meals for groups.
Drinks and snacks are available anytime from our vending machine.
Plus there's bottled water to combat that morning-after feeling after a night out on our Hostels Pub Crawl!

Our facilities include a smoking area, laundry facilities, car parking, an elevator, a printer for boarding passes, plus discounts on all major tourist attractions, pub crawls every night and day tours arranged right at our desk.

Reception is open 24hrs a day, making sure there's excellent security at all times. There's an airport shuttle bus direct from the hostel, from very, very early in the morning - just ask us about it!

Our twin and double rooms have bunk beds. The 16-bed dorm and the 12-bed dorm are interconnected and share the same shower rooms, please be aware of this before you book. For this reason these two rooms are not suitable for large groups. Groups of 6 or more persons, different payment policies apply. Breakfast is included in the price and has a great choice of cereals, etc.

Please note that children under 18 cannot share in dorms, they must be booked into a private room. View House Rules

Stayed there 1 night June 16 2019. Good experience rooms and beds are clean. Reception is staffed with helpful employees. Common areas are clean and open. Had stayed in Isaac's night before and this hostel was cleaner and more modern. Not as well publicized but definitely feels modern bunks have power outlets and USB plugs. Modern hostel in downtown dublin would recommend again

A nice hostel. Its clean, it is a decent location in perspective to the big attractions in town, and the staff are friendly. I enjoyed staying here.

A nice welcoming hostel in Dublin with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Really great for group stays and offers good value for money. It has a great location on the river with a short walk to Temple Bar and the historical districts of the city. Security is also good, the hostel itself feels safe to be in as well as the area it is located in. Would certainly stay again.

    Very Good

Location wise fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities great. My only gripe is the noise level. There seems to be no insulation between the floorboards as people upstairs were stomping like they were elephants. You could hear when they would roll out their locker. You could even hear conversations that were happening on the floor above. If you are a light sleeper bring your ear plugs. Shower is push button, which is ok but annoying. Breakfast is basic, don’t expect anything flash!

Hostel is nice, decent location, nice big lockers under the bed, but locks aren’t easy to get on, wifi only works occasionally, free breakfast is standard but ends at 9:30 which is annoying

WiFi was poor to say the least, not working at all on the top floors. The showers were in terrible condition: the whole room floor flooded and ostensibly dirty, plus ya had to be pushing the button to have water every minute. The staff are nice and friendly, and the location is grand.

A lot of old guys. Few showers and toilets ( 2 for 20 persons ) , no curtain between beds , and the common areas are not good to meet other travelers
