Me and my husband were very well received. The staff was Lovely and told us all the informations about the hostel and the city. The breakfast was very good. Our bedroom was great, the only thing is that it was very hot days and the air conditioning was not working very well. I surely would come back to the same place.

Probably the best mattress that I have slept in a hostel. Friendly and welcoming staff. The only negative aspect is that their breakfast isn't a breakfast. They served only a weak coffee (which is weird considering that you are in Italy) and sweet (extremely sweet croissants).

    Fabulous

Freedom Traveller enjoys a very good location, closer to the main bus, metro and train station (Termini), bus stops, two restaurants close by and a spectacular cathedral just four blocks Sta Maria degli Angeli. The hostel is located in an old and traditional six stores building like most of the ones in down town Rome. All staff were very friendly and helpful. They are offering dorms with 4 individual beds. Need some internet improvement in the 4th floor. Complaints were attended promptly.

    Fabulous

Good place to base yourself if you need to be close to the train station. About 30min walk to the hot spots in Rome. Good large lockers. Unfortunately I wound up with the bed with no personal light and a charging port in a weird spot which was a little frustrating. Girls that want to book the female 5 bed room I recommend NOT too. The kitchen is right next door and so is the reception and social area. Gets too loud at night making it hard to sleep. It’s the only room on that first floor.

    Very Good

    12 Oct 2019
Freedom Hostel was a nice place for the amount I paid. The check in process was smooth and the room was clean. I've stayed at a few hostels now and this was the first place to have the kitchen and common area closed for the majority of the day for cleaning or something. It didn't bother me, but I think it's useful info for future guests. I liked the little extra perks too, like free wine in the evenings, free luggage storage, and free breakfast. It was a nice touch.

    Good

In good vicinity of the roma termini, however was not worth the extra money for a private bathroom, the hot water had no temperature control so it was either scolding hot or freezing cold, after numerous complaints we were not offered a room change our any sort of compensation.

I stayed there for few nights and all this time i did not have hot water, i brought this issue to the staff but still there was no hot water. Breakfas was limited - croissants and coffee, but if you woke up late (ex. 30 min) you wont have even coffee.... sucks...

Staff friendly but sometimes too friendly and not professional at all..I want a service not to be your best friend or something ok? Pretty bad cleaning on the computer and kitchen areas. Backyard full of mosquitos, it’s impossible to be outside. In a 4 bed room my bed was the only one without a socket nor a light... it was difficult for me to charge my stuff. They gave me a key for the lift and it never worked, ‘cause “it had a trick” (?) I wouldn’t come back.

Freedom Traveller says

I think one of the things our guests really appreciate about our hostel is our wonderful outdoor garden - it's a rarity here in the centre of Rome. We organise happy hours every evening, with free wine and snacks.
Within 20 minutes' walk you will get to the Roman Forum, Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain - and within 10 minutes you can get to Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica! I particularly recommend visiting the medieval neighbourhood of Trastevere.
Our hostel is perfect for all kind of travellers, as long as they're laid back and want to have fun. We get guests aged anywhere between 20 and 40 but the majority are in their 20s. We also cater for people with disabilities as the first floor of our hostel is facilitated for people in wheelchairs. Johnny, Manager
