Property Description

Full Sail Hostel is one of those places you go to if you want to experience a family-like, welcoming atmosphere filled with good music, cold caipirinhas, and a relaxed (yet energetic) vibe. We strive on bringing people together in our hostel (how can daily free caipis not bring people together), both staff and guests alike. With a team of other travelers from near and far, you can experience your home away from home, in a comfortable and safe environment, with drinking games, free nightly caipirinhas, nightlife, and all the knowledge you need to enjoy the wonderful city of Fortaleza.

Our hostel was designed by solo travelers that love the hostel life. We always have music playing and are always working to try to bring all guests together by: going out to local happy hours, having BBQs in the back, family dinners, beach outings, drunk nights, rough mornings, hair of the dogs, etc. Our philosophy remains that one of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet along the way. Our inspiration for this comes from watching strangers enter Full Sail Hostel and leaving as friends. There is nothing more beautiful than this.

Our location is very privileged, we're located in the heart of the 'terra de luz' (city of sunlight)! Only 5 minutes from the beautiful Beira-Mar where you will find the best brazilian food, the coldest coconut water, and warm beaches. There are buses to the greatest beaches in Ceara, like Cumbuco, just down the street. We're also strategically located in between the liveliest night life in Fortaleza: Dragão do Mar, Center of Art and Culture (it also has museums and other activities during the day) and Varjota (known for good restaurants and bars). Both are only 5-10 minutes by Uber (~BR$ 8-10) or 20 to 30 minutes walking. Our favorite happy hour spot is right down on the beach. You don't have to worry about being far from the fun in Fortaleza, as most of the fun starts at home!

The Full Sail Hostel is run and owned by a fun team of local & international staff. We speak English, Portuguese, and French fluently. We offer transfers to all the best beaches:Jericoacoara, Canoa Quebrada, and Beach Park. We have the best tips about places to go (both touristy and off the beaten path) and we're ready to show you a great time in this beautiful city!

If all of the above isn't enough, we include a free breakfast just for fun every morning with seasonal fruits, cold juice, sandwiches, make-your-own eggs, and more. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, a worrying quarter (25%) of people are skipping breakfast once or more during the week, with more than one in ten (13%) never eating it. Unacceptable.

Located in the back of the Hostel, where the magic happens, is our bar/lounge, opened everyday, with caipirinhas, beer, and music (everyone is welcomed to dj; we accept most kinds of music...). It is perfect to meet other travelers or relax after the beach. This is where the caipirinhas, drinking games, and fun starts (and sometimes ends...).

I enjoyed my stay here. The people that work at the hostel are very nice and the location is close to the beach and most of the things to see in the city. Would stay again.

Good location, great staff who were very helpful and thoughtful during Carnival celebrations. No frill but has a bar selling good, cheap caipi.

Great hostel! Staff don’t speak English but they are really helpful and welcoming. The hostel is well located not far from the beach and not far from the centrum. I recommend this place

    Very Good

The owner is a GREAT guy but sadly the only saving grace of this hostel (other than location which is excellent!). I’m not fussy about cleanliness but the state of this place did bother me. Nothing felt clean at all. A couple of the staff members were pretty rude and not keen to help. Language barrier definitely a factor here though so don’t want to judge them too harshly. Can’t say I recommend this place, but I will reiterate that owner is a really good fella

Everything was dirty. At first, we didnt even get beds in the same room (booked 2 beds in mixed dorm), but after negotiating With the non-english speaking staff, we ended up in a room With 6 beds, no aircon and a poor fan. Everything was dirty, especially the kitchen and the bathrooms/showers, which smelled soooo bad. We didnt like the atmosphere With all the staff just laying around everywhere and not being very friendly. One of the worst hostels iv’e ever stayed in

One of the worst hostels I've ever stayed at. Bloodstains on my bedsheets. No working toilet for the entire upper floor. Serious insect problem even for Brazil. Fridge and freezer didn't work. Wifi was poor, water from filter was warm enough to bathe in. No staff available in middle of the day. No sockets for bottom bunk beds. The manager was smug, rude, spoke poor English and charged an extra R$20 for checking in early, withing telling me at the time. Astonished this place is still in business
