Funny palace is an excellent hostel with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The location is incredible and conveniently located next to the main terminal as well as most of the Rome's main tourist attractions. The host Mabri was informative and gave great recommendations for locations to visit, travel routes, night life and food choices. If you need anything from laundry services to travel information they help out. The neighborhood was really nice with great locations. 10/10!

Getting off the train, it takes just two steps to reach the hostel. The staff are welcoming, helpful and were able to receive me in person even though they have had to reduce staff due to the corona-crisis. The room was comfortable, huge and really nice. Excellent stay!

    Fabulous

The owner was very friendly and went above and beyond to speak about must dos in Rome as well as he researched the best way to return to the airport. He generously upgraded our room. As for the rooms, nothing modern but clean and fine place to sleep. Bathroom and sheets were clean. Not a social hostel but a good place to stay if you are just looking to sleep.

The owner was extremely helpful and accomodating as I arrived early for my check-in. He allowed me to leave my luggage there while I was exploring Rome for the day and provided a map pointing out places to eat and visit. The hostel is very well located - being close to Rome's main train station (about 5 minutes walking) and the main tourist attractions (about 30 minutes walking). I stayed in a private ensuite and the room was nice and tidy. Good value for money.

overall, a good stay at a great price. room was clean, bathroom was large in addition to being spotless. the manager was very helpful. location right by roma termini station. not much of an atmosphere. wi/fi wasn't working over night, which caused me to only stay for a single day.

It’s a nice place, not much of a hostel vibe though. Really good location right beside the Termini train station. The staff were nice. We got a private room but it gets pretty hot and the air con costs an extra €8 a night (€4 per person).

    Good

The location was excellent and security was good with 3 locked doors and a safe. I stayed in the standard tripe room in effectively a block of flats. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest / was quite old / small etc. and didn't reflect the pictures which was disappointing. I think the pictures may be for the superior rooms or something. The room was cheap for central Rome though.

    Good

Overall location was good near to the station, room was smaller than shown in the picture but was clean. It mentioned double room on the website but in fact it two single beds put together very uncomfortable to sleep. When I was out, owner entered the room without my permission, and without any notice.

One of the worst "hostels" I've ever stayed in. There is ZERO atmosphere, the common area consists of two chairs in a hallway. The room is basic, with curtains as bedsheets for some reason, so you'll spend the night freezing. If you're staying in Rome for just one night... still, save yourself a headache and book somewhere else.
