    Superb

Very friendly staff and everything was clean. If you're in the capsule rooms then the showers are on a different floor, but it wasn't a hassle. It depends on the other guests, but it wasn't noisy at all despite only having a curtain on the capsules. The area itself is quiet with little traffic and is fairly safe 24/7. It's within 5min walking distance to two train stations and one goes directly to Narita so it was easy to get there with luggage. The post office is only a few blocks away as well.

I was very satisfied with my stay at this hostel. Conveniently located near a train station. The neighborhood is very nice and everyone greets you with a smile. Stayed here my first few nights in japan and I would stay here again on my next visit.

The staff at Grids were pretty friendly. They had lockers for shoes and showers which was nice. Location is a bit far from Tokyo station (about a 25-30 min walk), but if you have a metro pass, there's other closeby stations. Atmosphere was okay, considering there was 24-28 ppl per floor, I expected the common room would be more exciting than it was. In terms of cleanliness, the place was very clean and the facilities (showers, laundry), etc. were good.

    Fabulous

The staff was very nice. The place is clean and quiet (and in a very quiet neighborhood). Most attractions are a train ride away, but are very easy accessable via the nearby train station. The only bad thing was the elevator. I don't think there is an option to take stairs unless there's an emergency, and there's only one elevator servicing a lot of floors. Overall, I definitely recommend this place.

    Fabulous

The hostel was super clean and the bathrooms were immaculate! The pods were nice and cosy with power sockets, light, shelf and coat hanger. The pillows were a bit rock hard though! And it would've been nice to have an actual common/chill out area. They only had the kitchen which wasn't overly spacious and then the public coffee shop downstairs. I had a very late flight so once I'd checked out I only had use of the coffee shop area :/ The staff were super helpful though and very friendly :)

Staff is very nice. Wifi works very well. Located a 15-20 min walk from Kanda station or a 5-10 min walk from Bakurucho station. Clean rooms and bathrooms. I stayed in a ‘private room’ but there was just a curtain and a small walkway separating my room from the huge dorm room - weird not to have a private room with a drawer. They did provide a locker though to put my valuables in. Overall a decent stay - would definitely recommend if you aren’t staying in the private room.

Stayed over new years so there was probably a surge in price ($60 CAD), bringing the overall rating down. Other than that and the location not being the best, it was an overall really nice stay.

Decent pod styled hostel. Depending on who's in the room, your experience can vary vastly. Overall, close to a metro stop with direct lines to major districts (shinjuku, Ginza, etc), clean, mostly quiet. AC is hit or miss depending on where your bed is, in relation to the machine. Quieter hostel, not many backpackers, but some gather in the small coffee shop they have downstairs. Showers are on separate floors. 24 hour reception is a huge bonus if you're landing late. Would stay again.

    Good

Staff were friendly and welcoming, the location fairly good, but hygiene is a serious concern, which could/should be easily fixed. Rooms and washrooms themselves were kept clean; however, there was no handsoap or dryers in the bathrooms. Main toilet+urinal bathroom is a separate room from bedrooms, and upon asking staff, I was told that ONLY the ground floor bathroom/toilets have soap. The only soap on the bedroom floor is in a "powder room", 3 doors/rooms away from toilets. Very unhygienic.
