Ga Hostel is priceless. I would say: value for money, courteous staff, needy and tidy room and bunks. The stairs are narrow but can't expect much for the value one pay for. If there was a roof top for hang out it would be wonderful. Anw, I had wonderful time staying here

The staff at this place is AMAZING! They are so friendly and helpful, and after one day there they all knew my name and greeted me so happily whenever I came home :) Plus they helped me book great tours to Ha Long Bay and Sapa.

    Very Good

The hardest part I'd guess was to actually find the place, if so you'll be greeted by a lovely lady receptionist, very helpful and kind! They even offerd free city tours by local students! Try it! The location is good, in the middle of the old town. The hostel itself is ok, very angled, rather small. I shared the room with two other ladies, bathrooms were ok, one of two showers didn't work. However, there was no real common area. I was there for 1 night, then I moved to a more social hostel.

This is a pretty mediocre hostel. Everything works, however it needs a good cleaning - the bathrooms being the biggest issue. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend this hostel as the walls are paper thin and the beds are super creaky. Staff was helpful and the complimentary breakfast was nice!

Great location in the old quarter, booked a 5 bed dorm and ended up with a 10 bed, staff were fairly helpful, facilities were ok. Much better value hostels elsewhere for the same price in Hanoi in my opinion.

I know that the cost is low but have definitely stayed at other hostels for the same price with a much better experience. Building in poor condition. Dorm smelled of mold and mildew which was clear to see on the ceiling. Bathroom and shower were in poor condition, floor was often quite wet and not allowed to wear shoes. Stairs are very narrow and hard to bring luggage up. Beds very hard and usually only a sheet so quite cold. However cheap beers during happy hour!

The hostel was not at all what I expected, it was cramped and small, no room to move around, dark, and quite dirty. This may have been one of the worst hostels I've stayed in. The rooms were very crowded, smelled like mould, and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable (mine did not lie flat). It was quite noisy at night/in the morning as I could hear everything from the front desk. Then there was the washroom. No shower, tiny, so dirty and mouldy. I would not recommend staying here.
