I definitely recommend staying here of you're looking for an affordable but decent and fun place to stay. It's really nice that tram 5 stops right in front of the hostel and there is a good size supermarket (Rewe) just around the corner. The staff was really nice and the room was good, not the cleanest but what can you expect from a cheap hostel right in the middle of the city center? The room itself was a good temperature although the shower doesn't seem to have working ventilation.

Really dirty hostel, both the rooms, beds, toilets, showers, everything!! My sheets were stained, staff changed them and the new were stained too. When I asked for another stet of linnen they refused. Staff were in general very rude. Not social at all either. One of the girls in my dorm also had her laundry stolen, and the staff did nothing to help or accommodate it. (Refused to even look at the cameras). Way too expensive for what you get. Only "good" thing is the location close to the train.

The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was basic, but tasty. I would have liked sliced bread instead of the roll they offered. But the fact that there is an attached bar was nice. It was a good place to watch World Cup matches. I also liked that they asked if I preferred a top or bottom bunk, even though they charge for the choice. My biggest complaint is there was no shower curtain, so it was a little hard to keep the other area completely dry.
