Generator is a great place to stay! Beds were very comfortable, rooms were quiet. Lots of storage. The bathrooms were mostly clean except for a couple of showers. Great bar and food downstairs. Only negative was probably the breakfast. For €5 all I got to choose from was muesli, yoghurt, cold croissants, cold scrambled eggs and some fruit. But other than that highly recommend staying at this hostel!

Brand new facilities in a good location right next to the Jameson Museum and a short walk to the Guinness Factory. Staff weren't particularly friendly, but overall very helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this hostel - bar area and food is decent and fairly priced with good discounts to people staying at the hostel.

Great location and nice facilities. The bathroom should have been cleaner - there was lots of black mold around the top of the shower. I wish there were cooking facilities. Everything else was great.

    Fabulous

This was our second time in Dublin, and we had an awesome time at Generator. The bar area is a great place to socialize, pre-game, and meet people. The rooms were standard and the beds were comfy. It is probably a 20-25 min walk from Temple Bar for reference. I’d recommend staying here to solo travelers or groups who want to have a strong social experience in Dublin. Cheers!

The rooms were clean and neat. The only drawback was that there is no kitchen so you can’t cook any food.

Very sad example of what is a Hotel disguised as a Hostel Expect to deal with the machine not Humanity No humanity here just the dollar is king Anyone can call a place a hotel or hostel the criteria is very simple Imagine being in a cell Well this is it if you want to see the light off day toull leave the building belive me Clever design disguises this sharade

Dirty, moldy bathrooms (and multiple reviews here that the hostel responds to - why won’t they just address it?) and no outlets or shelves in the bathrooms. Also poor security, we had a crazy girl in the room who left her baggage after checkout and we reported it but they did nothing until she came back causing a ruckus at 7am and waking up the whole room. So they don’t even deactivate keys after people leave. Plus no kitchen or external food so you’re stuck with their bland, overpriced eats.

The staff here very unpleasant and had a horrible experience with some of the guests in the room I was blamed for asking to be moved to a decent room. They fill some rooms while others remain empty.
