    Fabulous

The hostel is very well located, in a quiet neighbourhood and close to the centre. It is huge and has a pub on the ground floor, as well as 24 hour reception. The most remarkable thing is the staff, they are very friendly and are willing to solve any problem. It is clean and even has hairdryers in the bathroom. At night there is a person who guards the entrance and asks for identification, so it is very secure. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin on a budget :)

    Fabulous

    13 Sep 2021
Positives: - Rooms are very spacey - Staff is super friendly and helpful - Location is in the heart of hipster hub Smithfield Negatives: - There is NO KITCHEN!!!! - Lockers cost 1 €/DAY - No outside food allowed in the rooms (so you will have to buy their expensive food) - No trashcan inside the room (wtf) - Female bathrooms are on the first floor, male bathrooms on the the second... THATS IT In conclusion: If you want a typical hostel experience, AVOID Generator. Overall okay.

No real complaints. Very noisy at times, but that's not the fault of the hostel. Was also quite stuffy in the dorms, no air-con or fans, but I suppose it's not needed for much of the year so I understand why they don't have it. Great location in general.

    Very Good

    01 Sep 2021
Decent hostel in Dublin about a 20 min walk to the centre, the rooms are decent however there is a lot of construction happening near by atm so can be loud from early on, the bar is spacious and I can imagine without covid would be social. The place is pretty expensive however most of Dublin is.

The only hostel I’ve stayed in that doesn’t provide even a basic breakfast of some sort included. So add an extra €6 for a packed breakfast. There doesn’t appear to be any community facilities / kitchen other than the Bar.

Too noisy. The bar plays club music all day long, so no common space to relax. You are forced to hear club music after five, as they turn it up so loud that you hear it banging in your room until after 11 at night. Grab a pillow and sleep on the floor of a night club!
