Our party of five stayed at the Generator in Dublin at the end of a ten day vacation. The location was great for sightseeing by foot, and allowed everyone the independence to see what they wanted to see if venturing out alone. It was great to be in a 6 person private room at the end of our journey, bringing everyone back together before the trip back home. We always felt safe inside, and there was plenty to do within the Generator.

It's a great facility. We did not have the best experience however. There didn't seem to be many people there, but every bed in our room was full. We told them the toilet didn't work and were asked to wait until morning for it to be fixed. One person in the room had their stuff all over the floor. A guest in the room also vomited several times in the stopped-up toilet, and so we didn't sleep all night. :/

A strong hostel across all areas. A little on the pricey side for some, but I am happy to pay for a decent hostel. Best parts of my time here were the comfort of the beds, the bathrooms, downstairs bar, and quality of cuisine on offer in the cafe zone, (food and drink not included in price). The place is a little further away from downtown and Temple bar than some revellers might like, (aprox 1km/20 min walk along the River Tiffey). Overall, it is a top city hostel and I would come back again.

There was a fun vibe to the place. The rooms and beds were nice, but the bathrooms were a little gross. Overall it’s a great place. I would stay there again.

Hostel was very new and clean which was good. However it was very overpriced for what it was - have to pay for literally everything extra and not aloud to bring any type of food in. So this made my trip to Dublin a lot more expensive. Overall was a good place to stay just a little pricey.

Rooms were kept clean, but beds were quite uncomfortable. Cant bring your own food in and doesn't have a kitchen so have to either buy food from their bar or go out. Otherwise was a pretty cool place, right beside the Jameson distillery too :)

Less of a hostel and more of a "hipster hotel" as one fellow guest called it.

Nice place, helpful workers, but did not feel very inclusive. Very cliquey. Also rooms become very hot at night due to many bodies in one room, needs a fan/AC so it stays cool with many people in a room.
